The 2012 presidential campaign could bear a new subtitle: A Tale of Two Catholics.
For the first time in U.S. history, both sides of the ballot include Roman Catholics: Democrats' Vice President Joe Biden, and Republicans' newly named vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan.
Ryan, 42, still belongs to the Catholic parish, St. John Vianney in Janesville, Wis., where he was an altar boy. Biden, 69, the first Catholic vice president in U.S. history, attends Mass at St. Patrick's Parish and St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, both in Wilmington, De.
Biden and Ryan both cite their faith as a formative influence, but neither is known as a standard-bearer for the Catholic hierarchy's chief political causes: abortion and gay marriage. In fact, the two candidates are -- politically at least -- nearly polar opposites....
Cindy You may indeed have a partial experiencial knowledge of Roman Catholicism
However when a person does not know (and that would be intimately personally in context) the Scriptures, God Himself, NOT the RCC, gave us and the almighty sovereign power of God
they are quite mistaken if they imagine they (truly) know God because they are devotely religiious and sincere in their "religion"
God Himself has told us about "Catholicism" and other religions that worship Him in vain too, teaching as doctrine the precepts of men (Tradition) and the end of this "religious system" that has prostitued herself, wrongly worshipping the RCC 'mary', wrongly worshipping a lifeless piece of bread as if it is the real presence of Jesus Christ, wrongly calling your Pope 'Holy Father' what Jesus called The Father before the cross, covering up her pedophile priests for years, joining herself with the governments of this world for the sake of political power, influence and let's not forget her almost unimaginable great riches, and let's also not forget the untold numbers she slaughtered in the Inquistion and other persecutions.
A true understanding of the RCC ought to have you on your face begging repentance.

GOD certainly understands Roman Catholicism which HE proves in history having ordained the Reformation in the 16th century. By doing this HE brought HIS people back to the Word of God.
Being a devout Catholic; reading these comments; you don't know Catholicism at all… I understand; I as well do not have the energy nor the inclination to really learn anothers faith; although I tend to be friends with people from the old faiths like Judaism and Muslims ; we share a solid moral compass. We need leaders thar are incorruptible. Period. Good; smart men. I believe the best candidates are among the people; they may not have the stomach nor the wealth to get in the running. We need to pray for the ones that by hook or by crook are running for our Country.

I can see where someone might think there is a contrast? The only point I was trying to make is that "both" are Satan's ambassadors. One is clearly following the "wolf", the other is simply following the "wolf in sheep's clothing".
I suppose I should have worded it this way the first time for clarity sake?

Jude 1:4. For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Daniel 11:32. "By smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.
Romans 1:29. being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30. slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31. without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32. and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
Both of these men refer to the Pope as the Holy Father and neither has a clue as to who our beloved Savior really is. How we can make a moral contrast or distinction between the two is beyond me!
It is a rarity to find a Catholic, who is a moderate in politics, this a fault of their religion which always lead to extreme positions, Who is a Roman Catholic?. One can always be certain that a Catholic won't go to the extreme position, for them, of "Only Scripture," "Only Christ," "Only Grace," "Only Faith," and "To God Alone Be Glory". A position that only God can lead them to, and then they wouldn't be members of the Romish Church anymore.

"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme." - Mark Twain
"With Catholics comprising nearly a quarter of the U.S. electorate -- and nearly a third in Midwestern swing states -- the "Who's the Better Catholic?" debate may become far more than an intrachurch squabble"
I don't think this should be too much of a problem for the Roman Catholics, since they are not really bothered about religion per se.
The Roman Catholics religious philosophy being works based they are more likely to be concerned about social issues as affects their immediate social circumstances.
Many Roman Catholics voted Democrat and helped Obama get in, because vast numbers of catholics do historically vote Democrat anyway. Thus the social issues of abortion and sodomy don't really appear to bother your average modern catholic too much. Whereas their "poor" perspective does - and for that particular social issue they will put the Democrats back in - if they can.
