Pope to make first visit to U.S. in 2008
BALTIMORE — Benedict XVI will make his first visit to the USA as pope next year, going to the 9/11 Ground Zero site, addressing the United Nations and saying Masses at baseball stadiums in Washington and New York.

Nearly 300 bishops stood to applaud after the pope's U.S. representative, Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Pietro Sambi, announced the plans Monday at the opening session of the three-day fall meeting of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The visit, set for April 15-20, will coincide with Benedict's 81st birthday and the third anniversary of his papal election. As a cardinal, he visited the USA twice. ...

Jim,

Thanks for the “Imperial Popes” URL. The website, presented by a former RC nun, has books that expose Roman Catholicism for what it is[1]. You can read them online or order them.

With sites like this (and plenty of others available), there is no excuse for “protestants” and others who claim to be Christians to remain unaware of the hellishness of this pseudo-Christian organization – the Roman Catholic “Church”. May their eyes be opened before they are all assimilated into this monster like the Borg of Star Trek.

BYS Not Elect
Let me ask, are you a Roman Catholic?

The issue isn't Calvinism or Arminianism, the issue is Jesus Christ and whether or not a person knows Him and is known by Him.

Even as Jesus Himself has said,
'Ye must be born again.'

Something that simply does not happen in infant sprinling.

So, Mr. Hranek, would you consider Biblical ignorance as a sign of, for lack of a better word, non-election? After all, it is only a few of you that actually know the way since you are the only ones that read your Bibles and understand them correctly.

I think more than being bothered at the Pope's visit is the gross and inexcusable Biblical ignorance in the churches of this country. It is like only a small remnant has any idea at all of what the gospel really is and what it means to personally come to know God in the new birth. And without this foundational knowledge its like we are spitting into the wind to try to get people who think they are good, caring, tolerant people to face up the fact that the Roman Catholic Religion is so heartbreakingly false and those holding to her teachings will die in their guilt and their sin, their virgin Mary is actually somekind of a deceiving demon who will not plead their case before Christ but most likely is mocking them even now for falling for such a lie.

Here is the Big Rep of your "salvation by works" ministry, iL Papa, actually coming across to say, howdy y'all.
You should run out the welcome mat big time for him. Don't forget he's THE Vicar!!! Maybe you could get a few tips off him when he arrives.
Seaton
WooHooa yourself.
Haven't Calvinists such as yourself reported to us how your beloved John Calvin got much of his teaching from Augustine a doctor of the Roman Catholic church of all things.

As to works being related to salvation show me your faith without repentance and without calling upon the name of the Lord in faith to save you - something you should know quite well Roman Catholics, especially her Popes, would never teach anyone - and I will show you my faith in that by the grace of God, He lead me to repentance and gave me the faith to believe that Jesus Christ had died for my sin and risen again and to believe in Him alone for the gift of God eternal life.

BTW as a 'good baptist' we don't sprinkle babies and then tell them they are part of the covenant family of God. Catholics teach baptismal regeneration of infants not 'ye must be born again'.

Ahhhhh!!!!!!!

So, his Unholiness, the godfather of "Sin City" the Vatican, is coming to pollute our shores. Well, we have had dictators from Cuba, Iran, Venzuela, come here, so one more isn't going to make that much of a difference. It is something like,
Matthew 15
11 Not that which entereth into the mouth defileth the man; but that which proceedeth out of the mouth, this defileth the man.
12 Then came the disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.
15 And Peter answered and said unto him, Declare unto us the parable.
16 And he said, Are ye also even yet without understanding?
17 Perceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth into the mouth passeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
