Texas' Largest Presbyterian Church (USA) Congregation Votes to Leave Denomination

The largest Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation in Texas has voted to leave the mainline denomination over theological differences.

Highland Park Presbyterian Church of Dallas, which has approximately 4,000 members, overwhelmingly approved a resolution recently that would involve the congregation terminating its voluntary affiliation with the PC (USA).

The Session recommended leaving the mainline denomination and membership into the newer more conservative body known as the Evangelical Covenant Order (ECO) of Presbyterians. ...

I don't believe I stated my opinion SteveR, other than it seemed like other safety leagues, that men find common ground for and do not first labor to resolve the issues of their doctrinal separation first. Compromise and lack of contending for the faith once delivered is usually the result.

I do make a distinction in my thoughts between the visible Church known by her national Confessions of Faith and the invisible Church, known only to God. I wasn't voicing my opinion on the present day ministry in the reformed churches, only making an historical observation.

Didnt you just cite Pauls letter to Timothy as a reason not to vote for civil servants that swear an oath to the US Constitution? Then how can you support elders, Pastors and deacons swearing allegiance to the PCUSA?

Dont get me wrong, Im all for Saints fighting for repentance in the PCUSA. I just want to know how you reconcile the ideas of your previous posts as I am in agreement with Penny on the other thread

Red herring indeed!

For God -- the Holy Spirit -- does baptise ALL His elect into His church in due time. It's NOT a question of whether God can do this or that, but rather if infant baptism is ordained by God in Scripture.

Question:
The Roman Catholic church baptizes babies also. Are their peado-baptisms as efficacious as Presby peado-baptisms when it comes to those babies' salvation? Why or why not?

When will you Baptists learn to read the Bible properly, learn to translate Greek properly and stop following the Anabaptist heresy invented in 1521?
Red herring!

Maybe you would like to give your own evaluation as to how the PC USA has become apostate, if you think mine own version is incorrect. Hmmmm?

May the LORD bless the Evangelical Covenant Order and let it be a safe home for our people.

Wonder why it took so long. The fact there isn't a mass exodus just shows how apostate the denomination actually is. Once you get unregenerates in the presbytery, the end is nigh.

I put it down to baptising unregenerates and making them members before there is any sign of spiritual life.
