Canadian News Anchor Issues Ominous Warning to America: Gun Registration Will Lead to ‘Confiscation’
Living in Canada, Sun News Network anchor Brian Lilley has already seen where seemingly innocent gun control measures can lead. During a news broadcast this week, Lilley warned Americans that gun registration led to gun confiscation in Canada, and the same thing will happen in the U.S. if citizens don’t defend their Second Amendment rights.

Lilley also told the story of Ian Thompson, who was charged for defending himself with a firearm against four men firebombing his home in Canada.

“We are at a state in Canada where they don’t want you using firearms for anything. Ever,” Lilley said. “That’s the push. And as we look at what’s happening in the United States, that’s what’s happening.” ...

One of the things that the people could do to make your job easier is to remove the hundreds of thousands of gun-store military style arsenals which are populating America's shopping centre's.

Obviously your criminal element finds it very easy in America to procure and obtain assault rifles, guns and all kinds of military weapons to make their activities that much more violent and dangerous. Less access - Less gun stores - Less military style violence on your streets.

The obvious easy access to assault weapons and other military hardware in your local shop is indicative of the American mind-set which is - "justice can be obtained/maintained by everybody being armed to the teeth."
Viz: "Justice by guns"

Shoot first ask questions later attitude.

"I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!" Luke 12:4-5 ESV

Technically, you're right. I disagree with you that I am trigger happy and murderous. Unless you know that to be true, it borders on slander.

I never said anything about replacing justice with a gun. Nobody on my side of the argument has. This is the vigilantism straw man again. It's not my place to execute justice. That's the God ordained role of government. It decidedly IS my place to exercise defense against attack. There's a difference.

Thanks for your comment, LEO from NYC.
I have lived on Long Island (Bayshore), Queens, Flushing, and worked at Roosevelt Field. I've frequented Manhattan, but have also been surrounded by gangs with bats on Brooklyn streets in the early AM hours. I know what danger and fear is and a gun can be a law abiding citizens best friend because you just never know what the next minute will bring in NY.

You are quite out of your element. It is the government that is acting as a lynch mob, by bypassing the law and justice, for politics sake. But being unfamiliar with the principles of liberty, your responses are to be expected. You can't know what you don't want to know, right? Nonetheless, we who do know will continue to defend the law against antinomian government, and the Orwellian idea that ignorance is strength.

Who on this board is replacing justice with a gun? I don't see anyone doing that. What I see on my job Ina regular basis is home invasions where unarmed law abiding citizens are gunned down by a criminal, arresting drug dealers with 380. Automatic handguns, or a drug raid where the suspect has high powered automatic machine guns. In my daily tour I don't seem to run into law abiding citizens with bazookas and automatic rifles , nor have I yet to see them roaming the streets of my city looking to brandish out justice . I think once you've seen what I see out here you'd be glad your neighbor protects himself and family with a fire arm. I seriously doubt you'd be anti gun after you and your family have been a victim of a home invasion . You'd probably be the first in line to buy a shotgun to defend your right to peace. Get your facts straight because you are not out here like I am. You Better thank God you aren't. Until you see the depravity I see you need to stop judging. You're pretty brash for a Christian . I can see it in your posts. Well , God bless you all. Good night. Maybe I' will visit again

Please, Now Tell Me Something I Don't Already Know !

Registration Leads To Confiscation, Confiscation Leads To Domination:

Domination By The OBAMANATION !

It's Already Bad Enough The Decent & Law-Abiding Citizens Of Chicago, IL, Can't Openly Carry An "Arm" &-Or Concealed "Arm"; While They're Walking Down Chicago's Murderous Streets--

But The Following Happens When ALL THE GOOD & LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS OF CHICAGO ARE NOT "ARMED" WHILE WALKING DOWN CHICAGO CITY STREETS:

"OFF-DUTY COP'S GUN TAKEN DURING ARMED ROBBERY

Sun-Times Media Wire--February 13, 2013 8:38am

An off-duty Chicago police officer had his service weapon taken when he was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in his car in the South Side Chatham neighborhood Tuesday night.

The robbery happened about 7:30pm, as the off-duty officer sat in his own car near 91st and King Drive, police said.

Two males approached him, one on either side of the car.

As one opened the passenger's side door, the other tapped the window on the driver's side and displayed a gun, according to police.

The man with the gun told his accomplice "I think he's a cop, check for a gun", police said Wednesday.

The two robbers took the officer's gun, cell phone and wallet, according to police.

The officer was not injured."

It's bad arguments like that that makes you guys lose the battle of ideas here. You're confusing opposition to gun control to be opposition to murder control. Fatal mistake.

Crazy cravings, like possessing a gun to protect myself and my loved ones?

American "machismo"???

Gun Store mentality is if the customer wants one - get it for them and make a buck.

ps; All you gotta do is trawl the net to find the answers.
Quote:: ""I believe the Second Amendment provided that the average American citizen should have the same rights to armaments as the military. But do I want my next-door nut job neighbor to have a bazooka? No," said Noel Flasterstein, a Florida attorney and gun rights advocate."

Hmm, a pastor has sermon here on SA about gun worship, probably be worth listening to by many here.

Guess what there is a country even more gun happy than the United States! The NRA is probably going to open office in South Africa.

Many here will sweat bullets with excitement when they see the South African statistics on the right side of the article and a little down the page for, Oscar Pistorius: Olympian and Paralympian faces murder charge

What we 'need' is to know the difference between need and right. I find when politicians speak of need, they are wanting to be the ones deciding what that is. That's why there are rights existing outside of politicians' desires.

It's not idolatry. It's choosing to fight where the fight is. Why does the desire to restrict others not qualify as idolatry?

Barry from KY wrote:
I totally agree with you jamesc! But, you are not going to convince anyone here at SA. They will have a comeback for everything you offer. I'm not against the second amendment either. I personally own no guns and have no plans to buy any. Awsome post Bro.
You fail to win the battle of ideas here, because rather than use good logic you hurl accusations of vigilantism, idolatry, anarchism, rebellion, or any other straw man under the sun. It's predictable.

I also don't buy the claim that you're in favor of the right to bear arms, because you decry it often. You seem to be more interested in forcing others to live by the restrictions of your conscience. The first time I responded to an article here about guns, you told me that I deserve a visit from the FBI. What am I supposed to do with that?

It seems that the mindset of some here is that since Christians lived under the Roman Empire, that we should just wait for it to come here. And since Christians suffered under communism behind the iron curtain, therefore we need to give up on owning guns and let it come here. What?? We need to remember what was given to us by those who died to give us our system of government ...by the people. A nation of laws and a constitution and bill of rights are what we are under. If we want to lose it, just hand in the guns and our future generations will experience what one can only dread. Christ taught his disciple to flee to another city...and that seems to me a warning to get out of harm's way if at all possible. Therefore it is WISE to have a well armed public for many reasons. Foreign armies might think twice about invading if the public is armed to the teeth. There is evil in the world and man's heart is desperately wicked and this will be the case until the end, so a crazed killer entering my home will not be free to do his every wish to my family. Refusing to own guns is deciding to be a dead victim. My responsibility as a husband and father is to protect my family.Should a christian man refuse this responsibility? Should he be an unarmed spectator if family is attacked?
