‘Queen James Bible’: Now There’s a Gay-Friendly Version of Scripture
Despite the evolution of societal trends, homosexuality continues to be intensely-debated on moral, spiritual and theological grounds. With the Bible traditionally viewed as a document that condemns the actions associated with same-sex attraction, some anonymous editors have set out to reinterpret scriptures to create a new translation — “The Queen James Bible” — that is favorable to gays and lesbians.
At first glance (and even when you dig beneath the surface), it’s difficult to discern who is behind the publication (the publisher of the book on Amazon is listed as “Queen James”), as there is no organization overtly mentioned on the web site advertising the alternative Bible. That said, the editors, though unnamed, are bold in explaining their intriguing project.
“The Queen James Bible resolves any homophobic interpretations of the Bible, but the Bible is still filled with inequality and even...

Not to worry. The Holy Spirit, not the version, is in charge of the Gospel staying hinged.

How right you are Lady.
Straight from the lips of The Lord Jesus in Lu 13:3. I tell you, Nay, but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. And He repeated these words two verses later! When Jesus Christ repeats something within one minute, I pay attention.

Hi Frank, and many happy returns to you as well - happy birthday.
The word "modern" in MV's is a bit misleading. I have no problem whatever with an up-to-date Bible. Actually, if Kenneth Taylor had simply updated the KJV for the benefit of his children, I would have welcomed it and probably read it. But, alas, he was another one taken in by the modern scholars who have a new greek text to play with. The RV of 1881, purporting to be a KJV update, was in fact a right mess, acknowledged afterwards by some of those involved in its production, because it used a completely different greek text, namely the one compiled by the heretics Westcott and Hort. Their corrupted text was taken on board by others (also heretics) and within a hundred years was being accepted by much of christendom, especially the nominal and ecumenical groups. The corrupted texts, and subsequent English versions translated from them, were accepted by virtually every Bible Society in the whole world. Phew! How can that be?
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Queen James Version:
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after nonhuman flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Leviticus 18:22
KJV:
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.
QJV:
Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind in the temple of Molech: it is an abomination.
Romans 1:27
KJV:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
OJV:
Men with men working that which is pagan and unseemly. For this cause God gave the idolators up unto vile affections, receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
It seems these days that most everyone wants to "Christianize" his pet sin and that no one wants to repent, but people still insist that they're saved.
Coming to Christ demands repentance. What point is there in stating you're a Christian if you live like nearly everyone else? At least be honest.
I wonder what those living around 1611 thought about modern versions. But, I agree that the KJB is excellent for those English speaking folks and many of the modern versions are probably corrupt.

Here`s God`s warning IN WRITING for those who will heed it. Re 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
For us in the West, how are we still standing? God is truly long-suffering amidst our blatant blasphemy. This is Romans 1 being lived out in our generation. Pray that God's word, Christ, would not depart our lands.
Someday they'll produce a 'You' version of the Bible. A version where you pour your very own interpretation into each of the 31,000 verses. That way they cover every single demographic. If this ever happens, the Gospel will be completely unhinged.
Yes, John...the Bibles for today, the ones that many churches are using now have been corrupted and is easily proven if you know where to look and what to compare. I've listened to several talks on the differences between several popular translations and the KJB, and the changes that have been made are very serious.
The newQueen James Bible. I never thought I'd see the day...this is so serious. He who takes away from or adds to my words...
Thankfully the King James Bible will still be standing when all the assaults on it have done their worst. It is noticeable that the King James Version is the one most under attack, but the Lord has preserved it, and will preserve it, because it is his testimony, and he desires to save sinners through it yet.
The modern versions are paving the way for a Bible which is no Bible, and it will not be long before this is truly evident. Ecumenists will see to that; they do not believe the Bible, and would be glad to see the demise of scripture. But in the midst of all the fog, a bright light shines forth, a stable and consistent book - the Authorised Version - for which every believer should be most thankful.
Look up Strong's Gk. #733 & find out what the KJV's euphemism “abusers of themselves with mankind“ REALLY means. The Geneva avoids such “Dynamic Equivalence” & uses a slang word I cannot repeat here w/o violating forum guidelines & upsetting Anglican vicars & Church Ladies.
