The world will end October 21, says Harold Camping … but no billboards this time

This time the end of the world will be real, says 90-year-old California radio mogul Harold Camping — October 21, so be ready.

But he doesn’t sound quite so confident this time. He suffered a stroke shortly after his most recent false alarm — May 21. He’s been in a nursing home. But now, he’s proclaiming new warning.

Nowhere, and that's the point.

It says that "That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left."

Not "That is how it will be precisely 7 years before the coming of the Son of Man", but "That is how it will be AT the coming of the Son of Man."

Or what does it say in Matthew 24 that indicates a removal of the church before Tribulation? You have suggested that it does, therefore you have the burden of proof. I only mention this because previously you just told others to find it out on their own, but that isn't an option here since you've made a claim, and I've countered it (whether my counter is successful or not does nothing to change the necessity that you back up your own claim).

It appears you read and watch a lot of so-called Christian entertainment stuff. It sure is exciting and entertaining. Just not scriptural.

Believers are being persecuted all over the world, even in America.

You may want to research if man has developed technology that can make people disappear.

...........because if you belong to Christ you are the light of the world...because blessed are the persecuted....because of Rev 20:4 and the suffering church, because of the apostles and their persection.

Where does it say that Christians escape tribulation during the end times?.. read Matthew 24 carefully.

why God is gonna punish those who have turned to him.
Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.

God did not spare Paul, who had "turned to Him" as you say. Can you explain why He would spare us?

There are so many eschatological views on the table that the RCC may well be as valid as any other.

Ok I never thought a group of people who claim to be bornagain would get worked up about the word rapture. Lol its actually funny so funny its actually sad. Why is it hard to trust that Jesus is gonna remove his children from punishment on the earth. Read Daniel and Revelation its good news to the saved. I know what I believe I trust in what I believe. I am not gonna spoon feed people on here I. Read that some want scripture to back the word rapture. Cmon your intelligent people right ? Well research for yourself and tell me why God is gonna punish those who have turned to him. Can you ? If so show me or just sit back and doubt which is your right and see lots of people vanish. If your pastor dosent teach it ask him why not. I am just curious that's all

That's right. The word Rapture is not in the Bible. So don't believe in it.

The word Bible, is not in the Bible, so don't read it.

1st Thes 4 talking about being caught up togeter to meet the Lord in the air, can't be the Rapture, because you have already established that there will be no Rapture. Hence, all verses that speak of people being physically transfromed and removed from the Earth, to meet the Lord, can't be taken literally. Because the word Rapture is not in the Bible. A book that never uses the word "Bible".

While we are at it,let's go on ahaed and say that since Camping is wrong (which he is) about setting a date on the End of the World, that ther will be no End of the World, because Camping was wrong about when it was going to happen.

Don't ya just love the information super highway. People don't have to spend years in painstaking reasearch, they can just come to a quick conclusion; post it, and congradulate temselves for Being an Expert on the subject.
A legend in their own minds.

Defending The Pre-trib Rapture Harry Camping has a poor understanding of Eschatology, but unfortunately so do some others on this forum. See, ESCHATOLOGY--Different Rapture Views and a sermon right here on SermonAudio! Three Viewpoints on Millennialism.
Dr. James White wrote:
...Allegorical interpretation destroys biblical authority. It replaces the divine message with the imaginations of the interpreter, and as such opens the door wide for every kind of abuse of the text. False teachers, seeking to draw away disciples after themselves (Acts 20:30), utilize such means to release themselves from the unchanging standards of Gods Word and insert, under the guise of thus sayeth the Lord, their own pet doctrines and teachings. The Christian who is untaught and unstable, a novice in the Word, can easily be taken in by such a teacher who exudes confidence and often hides the false teachings behind a veneer...

Good point. And as long as we're connecting unconnectable things, remember Calvin and Camping both start with "C"

All I am gonna say is its 7 years after the rapture. Now we don't know what day we will go in the rapture but my friends its so close. Just look at the shape the world is in ! I'm not too keen on turnips.

Colly, broccoli, rhubarb, garden peas, celery, spinach, carrot, lettuce, raw onions, they all get the but parsnips and turnips I never did like much. Mind you, I never used to eat onions until recently.

From the article...
"Camping said he was “flabbergasted” with the way things happened and explained that May 21 had, indeed, been Judgment Day, but only in a spiritual sense"

Ah y'see John you've bin countin your turnips before they're hatched.

Prophet Camping's flabber has been gasted - and you know what that means don't you.

Come the 21st you'd better get your balloon fixed for flying time.

The 'rupture' (ooh painful) will happen early on that Friday morning and those who still find themselves posting that night had better just join the "3 letter" friends and work for their salvation.

Good comment to read upon getting home safe. Oh that God might make His Word so real in our lives that we far excellent the zeal of the Cam Ping followers in genuine service for our soon coming Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. (at a time when men are not expecting Him, and a time when no man can calculate or predict)

And when this date also comes and goes, you can be sure he will have yet another explanation as to why his figures don't add up.

I notice that the Cam Ping followers have not visited us here this time, to warn us all about the impending end of the world. (scratchee de head, I wonder why not?)
