You Support Gay Marriage When You Eat These 10 Popular Brands
Most conservative Christians adamantly stick by their Christian values that same-sex marriage is unacceptable and refuse to support it on religious grounds. But what if you found out that your favorite brand of cereal was made by a company that supports gay marriage? Would you still buy it?
Here are ten popular food brands made by General Mills, a company that openly supports same-sex marriage: Cheerios
Well, if you are going to complain about brands of food and how they support gay marriage, abortion, ect. You may as well move to mars and start a life there. The truth is, most food companies (in general) support these things. I agree with boycotting these organizations, but we can't just stop using them that easily.
GS Texas, I liked the last part of your post, one should recognize the The Inadequacy of Moralism. You aren't going to get anywhere unless a large part (a big majority) of people support you. So, far, murder and child molestation has the majority wishing to punish them, how long the majority will support that list, especially the second one on it, God only knows. Trying to turn a country in what is in effect a Muhammadan will not stop sin -- as is obvious from observing those societies.
We're commanded to preach the Gospel not to reform the World like atheists, using legal tactics. The Apostle Paul didn't mess with secular politics.
If you were to boycott every secular organization you would have a hard time in life. I say boycott what you can but if you can't get what you need somewhere else than just go ahead and get there. Either way no matter where you shop or buy some rich lost person is gonna make a profit. Besides you can there and buy and tell them you don't support what they are funding and then witness to them.
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you that you may be sons of your Father in heaven, for he makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust..Matt.5:44-45..Jesus ate with the sinners and publicans and was critized by the Pharisees. This is God's Word to Me..if He is telling you something else so be it..what others are doing including business that's strictly between them and God. I am blooming where God planted me..and btw I am still not there yet..God made the stars, moon and the sun, the earth and all in it but He's still working on me.
I dont feel it fair to compare commodities, like oil or internet use, to brands that support liberal agendas. Major brands have embraced the liberal side because there has been no penalty not to, with a substantial penalty to reject it. Liberals have done an excellent job motivating their base to influence Major Brand names, while Christians just buy what makes their stomaches happy
The pharisees tried to trap Jesus with this similiar issue..and he said to give unto Casear what belong to Caesar which was taxes and high taxes at that! And crooked tax collectors at that, remember Matthew a tax collector that became a faithful disciple and offered to give back to those he had stolen from. Jesus did not call us out of the world but to be salt and light to the world. Satan would like nothing better than to get our eyes off Jesus onto things we should not be trying to correct. These businesses will answer to God for what they do with their money not you. Also remember there are lots of people that are both Christian and non Christians that have jobs wih them! We can't change the world so we change the things God wants us to change in the places He puts us to be salt and light.
When you use the internet you support everything on it,the internet has an infrastructure just like anything else and internet useage fees supports and maintains that structure,Pornography included. The system is far too complex for anyone to know the source of everything.

Why don't you think before making such insane statements?

Was this directed at me? If so, very unimpressive. You need to widen your tunnel vision and take a good hard look at what I was saying.
This is definitely a controversial subject for me. Sure, I boycotted mcdonalds when it was supporting get marriage, and even Target for awhile, but you just can't get away from it! As or 2009 13000 companies supported gay marriage. All the car companies, all the supermarkets (except walmart), all the well-known restaurants, everything. There were only 3 that were against gay marriage. Walmart, Sam's and Chick-fil-a. The only way to get away from it is this- We could stop buying food from these places, we could stop eating out, and we could stop buying cars, never go to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts again, but that makes like extremely difficult! Since there's not a chapter and verse on the subject, I guess we will have to decide for ourselves.
I'm glad to know about these products and appreciate SermonAudio carrying the story. I try to either boycott or rarely purchase items that promote/support what God calls an abomination. There are so many other choices in the store or places to shop that Christians really shouldn't have any trouble finding alternatives.

Hey 1517, I agree for the most part. I always figured that making sure I am not supporting some cause down the chain that I don't agree with when purchasing a product is an exercise in futility. I figure that whatever they support is ultimately between them and God. Unless it's something that's in my face obvious, I don't let myself get out of whack trying to figure out who is supporting what because I'd drive myself crazy. "...for the most part"...because I will stop supporting anyone who is blatant. For example, not that little 'ole me will make any impact, but I no longer support Starbucks because of their ultra liberal views along with certain comments by the owner. If I am at, say, a craft show, and some homosexual organization is selling something I would normally buy, I'll shop elsewhere, etc, etc, so I have my limits. As far as Cheerios donating a nickel to buy the gays more glitter, well, I use my discretion as I go. We have no idea who is supporting what somewhere down the money line.
This is silly. You could find some cause, that is unbiblical, that any company supports. Once again, another "Christian" news sight that is Biblically illiterate. If you buy a product in support of some pagan practice, then you are acting against your conscience. Paul put this to rest for those who lived in pagan cultures in which some meats at markets were from idol rituals. He told them basically to not ask so as to not go against their conscience. Besides, unfortunately, we have weak brothers and sisters who would boycott these products because of the same-sex marriage support, but would sinfully indulge in other products. We must hate ALL sin, not just the more popular ones. Plus, we need to hate the sin that easily besets US in our personal lives. When was the last time you read or heard a Christian article on gluttony? That is a sin ravaging a lot of churches, more ths same-sex marriage.
