Controversial New ‘Religion That Embraces All Religions’

If you’re a part of a specific denomination or religious sect, Living Interfaith Church of Lynnwood is probably unlike anything you’ve seen before. The house of worship, based in Lynnwood, Washington, is run by the Rev. Steven Greenebaum, 65, and, as per its name, the church offers an “interfaith” experience.

So, what, exactly, does that mean?

Here’s how the church defines its theology:

Interfaith is a faith that embraces the teachings of all spiritual paths that lead us to seek a life of compassionate action. Interfaith, as a faith, does not seek to discover which religion or spiritual path is “right.” Rather, it recognizes that we are all brothers and sisters, and that at different times and different places we have encountered the sacred differently. ...

Here is what pluralism really means. If someone says that faith in Christ is essential for their individual salvation but not necessarily for someone else’s then they have logically said it wasn’t essential for them, but was simply a matter of personal choice. The world has told us to think this way in all spiritual matters. So it is not uncommon for someone to apply a moral standard to their own lives, but not to the lives of others. That is moral hypocrisy of the highest order and simply deludes the lost into reducing God’s moral standards and requirements to personal choices, and if a personal choice then they can’t be binding on anyone. This personal choice fallacy is one of the characteristics that separate the true church of Christ from all others.

Not a bad thought to nail to the door of our favorite local church: "You cannot have it your way BUT you can indeed have it the Lord Jesus Christ's way!"

Maybe even post it in the rooms where our deacons and staff have their meetings too.

Very good post.
I believe it is safe to say, 'fallen men in full rebellion against God as He truly is, seeking to make God whomever and whatever they want to make Him to be'

And add for those genuinely born again of the Spirit of God: BECAUSE God, this Holy, and Righteous and Just God has so loved us in Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, out of love for Him we stand up for Him, for His Name's sake, for the Truth He Himself has revealed to us in the Bible, and preach Jesus Christ wherever and whenever He give us opportunity.

Much praying, learning and growing to do.

btw IMHO in these the last days things are going to get hot for pretend Christians, celebrity religous false teachers and those who idolize them BECAUSE judgment begins with the house of God (imho including those who lie and say they are a church when they are a synagoge of Satan) and our God has willed to ultimately destroy, to cut off the very memory of all them from the earth.

Of course this project will be fairly successful, seeing as most all of the world's religions consist in man seeking God. Don't bother that you never find him, it's the seeking that counts.

But biblical Christianity stands unique, because it is the only religion in which God takes the initiative, seeking and saving that which is lost. It is unique because the Creator becomes Man, that he might pay a penalty on behalf of men for his own broken laws. It is unique in that the Creator raises himself from the dead after three days, and later ascends into heaven, where he rules and reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords. It is unique in that the Founder is coming again to our planet, to destroy it wholly and rebuild it in purity.

Ah yes, the interfaith can play religions all they want. But they never will eradicate the adamic nature, they never will get rid of all their sins and guilt, their self-righteousness will only be like a bandage on their gaping sores, and when they finally meet the Great Spirit, they will have no Saviour to be their advocate, no blood to atone for their sins, no indwelling Holy Ghost, no mark of the elect on their forehead, no imputed righteousness. And their embracing of all religions except the true one shows their total depravity.
