Amid growing support for same-sex marriage nationwide, a new poll from Quinnipiac University shows that most Catholics in the U.S. also back same-sex marriage, despite the church's teachings against it.
According to the poll, which surveyed 497 adult Catholics from February 27 - March 4 with a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percent, 54 percent of Catholic voters support same-sex marriage, while 38 percent oppose it. The survey shows a dramatic shift on the subject in the last few years: In a July 2008 poll by Quinnipiac, only 36 percent of Catholic voters said they supported same-sex marriage, while 55 percent opposed it.
Among 1,944 registered voters surveyed in the same poll, 47 percent supported same-sex marriage and 43 percent opposed it. A December poll asking the same question showed a statistical tie on the issue, at 48 percent in support and 46 percent in opposition....
You dont like his stance on same sex marriage? Too bad
I say this as a militant Protestant, Im impressed how the Vatican holds the line on same sex perversion(at least as offical doctrine) while so many denominations of my Protestant brethren have fallen.
Pope Francis on Homosexuality and Same-Sex Marriage
He has affirmed church teaching on homosexuality, though he teaches the importance of respecting individuals who are homosexual. He strongly opposed legislation introduced in 2010 by the Argentine Government to allow same-sex marriage. In a letter to the monasteries of Buenos Aires, he wrote: "Let's not be naive, we're not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God." He has also insisted that adoption by homosexuals is a form of discrimination against children. This position received a rebuke from Argentine president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who said the church's tone was reminiscent of "medieval times and the Inquisition."

Is that why you can so easliy stand by while Black Christians were maligned here? You said you were from GA, right? Oh yeah, you are figures
Well thank you for your response. Maybe we are reading from different threads, but I don't think anywhere in this thread have I seen any black Christians maligned. You will have to help me on that one. Unless I am missing something, the article was about Catholics and same sex marriage.

Ooooh, look! I'm a hypocrite now!
It sure is good to have false accusations heaped on me, just like they were on my Lord.
Well Steve, God says in his word that if you refuse to love the truth, he promises to send strong delusion that you believe the lie. Which by interpretation means that you will not only be incapable of true belief, but the judgment of God is already upon you, that men may fear, and continue not in rebellion against God.
John UK wrote: Ha! I didn't think you'd understand those scriptures. Well Steve, they are NOT saying that an unbelieving wife is saved by her husband. This is going to be a long night. Are you sure you wouldn't rather sit watching the news from Vatican City. A little puff of white smoke, and you have a new antichrist pope to bow down to.
That Scripture means Chris cant divorce his wife (even in your synagouge of Satan) like in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah. He still loves her, and wants what is best for her(at least I hope). You have been a stronger curse on Chris then 'Stand for God.'
All this in a feeble attempt to prevent looking like a hypocrite. Unfortunately, it is just one error heaped upon another.
Gal 1:8 "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." The RCC, because they CLEARLY teach that salvation is due to keeping the sacraments, falls under this curse, so SteveR your argument about someone being a member of the RCC and therefore being saved is not against the people who post here, it is against the Word of God.

John UK wrote: Sure I get it. Maybe it is you needs some help. You've only got to ask, Steve. I'm right glad you've put up your flag as an enemy of the gospel. It kind of makes it easier to converse, knowing that you need the new birth, which birth only God can give you, and that, by his grace.
Not really
You seemed to be confused in your doctrine. One minute you claim Catholics are accursed, then next some arent.
