Gay, transgender band breaks barriers in Christian music
The bios of the musicians who make up the band Micah’s Rule read like many Christian artists. Grew up singing in the church. Preacher’s son. Then became a preacher. In many bands. Degrees in music and ministry. Recorded some albums. Toured with Christian music legends. Even struggled with their faith along the way.
What their bios don’t mention outright might make them one of the rarest recent talents to record in Nashville, Tenn. The three musicians of Micah’s Rule are an openly gay man, transgender woman and a lesbian....
Kenny is right. Almost all CCM bands are like this band or they support perverts , drinking, and/or being as worldly as possible as not to offend. No one really should be surprised by this anyway. It's the norm in today's and the " everyone does that which is right in their own eyes " days that we live in.
I am thankful to the person that wrote this article. I found it informative and sad at the same time and will not be supporting or purchasing any music from this band.
If you go to any of the new nondenominational, 'relevent', seeker-sensitive, emergent, non-judgemental, cool churches where the pastor can't preach without a hip worship team and a drum kit behind him (or her), you are already singing songs written and performed by sodomites. And offering them to God as 'worship'!!
Christopher000 in RI, your comments remind me of three Scriptures:
II Corinthians 4:4 - "...the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
II Kings 6:17 - "...LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see."
Luke 24:45 - "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,... ."
There is perhaps no deception worse than self-deception, or being deceived and not even knowing it. May God open the eyes of this "band." Only He can do it.
The more I think about this, the sicker it makes me that mankind has fallen so far...so far that they actually think this is ok. God has changed...God loves everyone...God doesn't condemn good people...blah, blah, blah. This Satanically inspired group is a mockery to Christ, but guess what, I'm sure they will receive more widespread acceptance, in todays brave new world, than we may be assuming...especially with the publicly educated, tolerance minded, younger generation.
Oh boy, let's hope not, Micah. Love your name by the way. Anyway, I don't get how people living in such sin can be so deceived. They say they believe the word of God, yet openly defy it. They say they believe in and worship Christ, yet openly defy Him. I don't get how people like this can call themselves Christians. I don't get how gay pastors, etc can call themselves Christians yet openly defy God with such condemning lifestyles. God's word makes no mistake when pointing out how He feels about those unnatural acts and the punishment waiting for those who defy Him, yet they seem to have no cares or worries. This is a very strange thing to me.
I just saw a quote that is appropriate for this story, "I can't love the sin that killed the Lord whom I love." I guess though that if they write songs that are positive and encouraging they will probably be played on most contemporary Christian radio stations no matter what their theology is.
