Tens of Thousands Stand with Hobby Lobby
Tens of thousands of Americans across the nation today are showing their support for Hobby Lobby, the Christian-owned company now facing millions of dollars in fines for refusing to comply with Obamacare’s contraception mandate.

“This is not just about Hobby Lobby–this is about you,” said former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. “If Hobby Lobby is forced to eat the ‘king’s meat’ and ‘bow on their knees’ to a human government in direct conflict with their fundamentals of faith, then how long will it be before they come for you and your family?”

The appreciation day is similar to one Huckabee helped launch to support Chick-fil-A after that Christian-owned company came under attack from militant homosexual groups. ...

I wonder why the stand isn't against the entire "health care" mandate.

Mike I never said what they were doing was wrong. Observe:

Mark 13:8-13 KJV
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

I really do not regard such things as activism. They have been put into a political situation in which they did not ask for and are following through to the end of this journey as to their time and place. Let them say before the courts that Christ calls us out of taking the life of the unborn.

As for putting trust in the Baylonian empire to give favor again, or to speak out just to get some momentary financial relief, that's probably useless at this point.

As for praying, yes, we should be, this is not about a company, its about an entire nation being put into a centralized system that is forced and limited, quite the opposite of the concept of freedom of association, free market with accountability, freedom of religion, and free exchange of ideas and information which leads to a healthy nation. the prior being modelled to us many times before behind an iron curtain.

To me its no different than turning up the organ music as the trains go by. Turning away is not the answer.

Ignoring my question just to come out with others will not make my question go away. If you are a true Protestant, you believe in sola scriptura, and you need to come out with biblical principles not rhetoric. If I am wrong on this, fine, show me from THE BIBLE and I will be convinced. Honestly!

But now I have to turn in. Post your biblical answer and I will read it in the morning. Thank you.

p.s. Please read my original post again, just to make sure you understand what I said in the first place.

How is it "trying to achieve a political solution" to go through the legal system to seek proper restoration of limits? Aren't Christians to obey the laws? Why assume they aren't trusting in God's grace?
So when the government says to Hobby Lobby, "comply, or pay millions in fines daily," what exactly should they do that would meet a satisfactory definition of trusting in God's grace, and stay out of court in the doing of it? Remember it was God's grace that gave us freedom from oppressive government in the first place, but not without some difficulty.

Am I the only one here who believes they should continue to trust in God's grace, and recommend their political ally activists to desist and begin praying instead of trying to achieve a political solution?
"In God we trust" or "in activism we trust"?
Ecumenists love this sort of thing, as it gives them an opportunity to draw alongside and claim fellowship.

Your comment makes little sense. Hobby lobby is not taking a stand against having to hire non white Aryan workers who are only Protestant. They are taking a stand against abortion which, by the way, disproportionally affects the black population.

Smelling foul is no barrier to entering heaven, but self-righteousness certainly is. Focus more on how a sinner can be "right with God", that is, justified, and then watch the "new creature" grow in grace, as it feeds on the True Vine (Jesus Christ) rather than popish nonsense.

Check out the new film, "The Baby War: Defenders and Defectors." In it, Evangelical Protestant, Anthony Comstock, is quoted as saying that though others may share the Gospel, his calling at the turn of the twentieth century, and as NY's Deputized Post Master General, was to eradicate the "weeds" of pornography and contraception so the Gospel seed would have any chance at all to grow.

A hundred years later these vices so choke the soil that almost all professions of faith have yielded a foul smelling fruit.

Though the laborers are precious few, one broadcasts seed, another weeds. Both are together for the Gospel.

You do greatly err, imagining that changing hearts is only a matter of how much money you put into a project.

If you want to spend your God-given revenue wisely, make sure you put it into preaching the gospel. Those that are converted, being saved by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, will receive the Holy Ghost to dwell within them, and their mind will be illumined as to the sanctity of life.

Now if the RCC was to understand this basic principle from its inception, it would not have been such an evil and murderous religious institution.

The primary thing is to experience the new birth, without which no man will see or enter the kingdom of God. And let me assure you, there is no biblical warrant (therefore God has not said this) for a new birth in water baptism. It is a sovereign work of God's grace.
