‘Queen James Bible’: Now There’s a Gay-Friendly Version of Scripture

Despite the evolution of societal trends, homosexuality continues to be intensely-debated on moral, spiritual and theological grounds. With the Bible traditionally viewed as a document that condemns the actions associated with same-sex attraction, some anonymous editors have set out to reinterpret scriptures to create a new translation — “The Queen James Bible” — that is favorable to gays and lesbians.

At first glance (and even when you dig beneath the surface), it’s difficult to discern who is behind the publication (the publisher of the book on Amazon is listed as “Queen James”), as there is no organization overtly mentioned on the web site advertising the alternative Bible. That said, the editors, though unnamed, are bold in explaining their intriguing project.

“The Queen James Bible resolves any homophobic interpretations of the Bible, but the Bible is still filled with inequality and even ...

I thought you didn't like man's input. So the 54 translators appointed by a man must have been angels then?

Well, maybe 7 of them weren't angels.

In other words you cut GOD out of the Word of God.

According to you GOD had to wait for archaeology before teaching the whole counsel of GOD.

According to your understanding previous generations could not receive the whole counsel of GOD because it didn't arrive till recently.

What a splendid fellow!

Nevertheless, you need enlightening yourself, as to the corrupt, ancient mss.

You say that the MV's have more supporting documents.

Incorrect.

You say that the older the mss the more accurate they must be.

Incorrect.

Do you imagine that anything you say can be proven?

Incorrect.

Do you believe that we have the word of God in English? Or do you believe that we might have the word of God in English?

If the former, which Bible is it?

If the latter, are you a doubter?

How many greek documents do you think agree with the Textus Receptus?
1. One?
2. One hundred?
3. Thousands?

Answers on a postcard please, if you wish to enter the "Unbelieving Bible Society" competition.

Brothers , i feel that some of you may be so dogmatic out of ignorance so i hope to enlighten some of you. Actually the truth is that MOST of (notice i did not say all) newer translations are more accurate than king jimmy simply because archeological discoveries over the last 400 yrs since its inception have rendered older manuscripts than were used in translating kjv. In fact, a recently discovered papryus a few yrs ago caused niv to make a change in that version(pre the new 2011 release of the new niv). There is quite sufficient historical evidence and scholarly support that render many newer translations (nasb, hcsb, esv) to be more accurate and with more supporting documents than the usefull but outdated kjv .

Indeed Christopher. But it is just this impotence on our part that helps us to understand how powerful and wonderful the grace of God can be. Our words may not be able to convince the sinner of his need, but the Holy Ghost is well able, and once he begins a work in the heart, you can be sure he will complete it. This is why.....

One sows, another waters, but it is God that giveth the increase.

It is our responsibility to "sow the word" or to "water that word", but the result we leave to our God.

Yeah, I know that it's all no surprise to most on this board, but I'm amazed every day with how fast and far mankind is falling away. I'm so sad that so many have actively rejected God. Mankind thinks that they are far too intelligent to believe in a God, yet they will believe in the most ridiculous of things.
I would never wish eternal condemnation upon anyone and it makes me sad that so many will choose to remain willfully ignorant until it's just too late...

I'm just frustrated that there is nothing that can be said or done that would break through to them because they have made up their minds. I just don't understand how they can be so sure of themselves with such an important, eternity altering decision.

Or is 'christmas' Satan's strawman to enable his attack to be more subtle and effective in society?

Like Liberalism and other heresies they can easily be shot down and made to look like myth and fiction to give the overall name of 'religion' a bad name and only for fools?

Everything atheists do is sin.

Churches may not recognize same-sex ‘marriage’ in any way: Seattle Archbishop rules

Archbishop J. Peter Sartain issued a “refresher” on marriage redefinition – and marijuana legalization.

BY KIRSTEN ANDERSEN

SEATTLE, December 13, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – Regardless of the state marriage referendum, Catholic Churches in the Archdiocese of Seattle may not participate in any same-sex “marriage” or recognize them in any way – including solemnizing such unions, allowing their facilities to conduct the ceremony or its reception, or providing marital counseling to homosexual couples.

Following Washington state’s legalization of same-sex “marriage,” and marijuana, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain has issued a “policy refresher” to explain how the new laws will affect Catholic parishes in his archdiocese.

The archbishop wrote that he was “disappointed that so many voters failed to recognize marriage between a man and a woman as the natural institution for the permanent, faithful covenant of love for a couple, for bringing children into the world, and for nurturing and educating those children.”

“Since marriage is regulated by both civil and canon law,” he wrote, “clerics must always keep in mind the demands of both law systems.  Now that any two persons regardl

With loose text they can create any version that suits their proclivities. The Pedophilia Bible. The Beastophilia Bible. The Murderer's Bible. The Adulterer's Bible. The Fornicator's Bible. The Me and My Two Wives Bible. And so on.

Any plan to burn said Bibles will result in howls of protest. We'll have them until Christ's return in about 10,000 years.

Media mogul and Bible magnate, Rupert Murdoch, has the Christian right where he wants him ... in his hip pocket.

Loose manuscripts sink souls.

As per usual Jim, thats a blatant lie used only to support your agenda on the westcott/hort authored nasb - and with no baring on fact in history.

But what is true is that the queen james bible is like the NIV and the NASB and the modern versions, just another heretical diabolical abomination by non-christians such as the popish sympathisers westcott and hort.

Satan fights hard and subtle to defeat the true Word of God the King James Version. Notice that he doesn't bother to fight at all against the modern versions. And why should he? After all he published them.

At a time in history when the sodomites are getting their own back its obvious that lies deceit untruth falsification deception forgery downright fiction revilement and vilification will be used by Satan and those bound for hell to attack the truth.

Thanks for the birthday wish! As long as you didn't object to my humor about modern versions, then all is okay. But, as you know I do try to post using the KJB. I disagree with you concerning this issue and not without some logic and study on the subject. But, fellow Pilgrim, as much as I usually avoid this statement; it applies in this case. "You and I will agree to disagree". THERE I SAID IT.
Well done bro! And you know I love humour.

The NASB NT was translated from the Eberhard Nestle greek text. This was a combination text along with Tischendorf, W & H, and Weymouth. This new text was to become known as The New Textus Receptus, and is widely used today, in its Nestle/Aland form. Briefly sourced from wiki.

Sure, we can disagree about these things, as nothing concerning the Bible can be proven. But different versions of the Bible can be read and compared.

Oh, subterfuginal is my adjective for the noun subterfuge.

It is quite noticeable that ecumenists and other KJV-Bible-Haters, even though they have well over a hundred English versions to have a go at, nevertheless will only attack the veracity of the King James Bible. And then, they can only seem to come up with a few verses.

This does not surprise me at all.

The way to avoid confrontation about real life, namely, the multitude of Satanically-inspired modern versions since 1881, (despite the plain and simple fact that there are still people groups without one chapter of God's inspired word!), is to divert attention away from the false, and make ludicrous claims against the true.

Satan has access to the minds of filthy lucreists (moneygrubbers), who are very keen to keep bringing out newer, better, more polished, shinier, more accurate versions of the Bible every few years, or even yearly, because they know that the ecumenists and others within liberal christendom, will stupidly go out and buy these Bibles which they imagine will contain some new revelation.

Shortly, there will be Bibles with the full Vaticanus and Sinaiticus texts (which Westcott and Hort loved) and you will see new books in your new Bible which the Christian world has never accepted as scripture.

Queen James was an apt description of the man who sanctioned the AV,
J. J. Prasch wrote:
...the Dictionary of British History states about their beloved King James that “His History states about their beloved King James that “His linking for attractive young men, notable such court favourites as Robert Carr and George Villiers (Duke of Buckingham) alienated many Englishmen”. Some historians conclude that homosexual affections were the reason he issued a royal reprieve for a murderer. Robert Carr, the Earl of Somerset, managed to gain wealth, status, and titles through his position as favourite of King James I, and was promoted to position of King’s Secretary – much the same as there were four professing homosexuals in Tony Blair’s cabinet...
excerpt from, The Truth About KJV Only...Agendas.

The AV is an extremely poor Bible we don't need a worse copy of it. To get three really good Bibles--and the AV, get a copy of a Comparative Study Bible. Or an computerized Bible such as e-Sword.
