A federal appeals court has given a Chicago street preacher permission to condinue his ministry.
Pastor Curt Teesdale and eight members of Garfield Ridge Baptist Church were handing out scripture and talking to the public about the gospel at a street festival in 2008 when police arrested Teesdale on a charge of trespassing, even though he and his church members were standing on a public street.
The charges were quickly dropped in criminal court, but the Chicago law firm of Mauck & Baker filed suit in federal court on behalf of Teesdale's constitutional rights. Attorney Noel Sterett tells OneNewsNow that when the pastor won in district court, that decision was appealed by the city....

Ah but Jim doesn't want to street preach anywhere. He'd rather sit in his armchair and attack both them and their Bible. It wouldn't surprise me if he even attacked himself before retiring. You know, like the Catholic nuns do.
Jim, you need to learn to rejoice when the Gospel is presented Philippians 15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
Be glad that by this you can street preach in Chicago.
A picture is worth a 1,000 words, and from the picture one might think this preacher is haranguing his potential audiences? Using amplified speech? I hope not! Here is sound advice from an famous English preacher on Street Preaching -- C. H. Spurgeon.
For people who like their Bible lessons in English and not Elizabethan in the Chicago/Hammond area, I would suggest they try out Christian Fellowship Church.

Yes indeed. In the UK we used to have what was called "wayside pulpits" scattered around in various places, but I've not seen one for a long time. They were usually placed on the side of the road on a patch of grass, with a post supporting a big Bible text. Great!
Have you ever heard of Bernard Koffindaffer in the states?

John UK TBS posters (KJV) can still be seen posted up at some railway stations in the UK. They are a delight to see, a continual reminder to travellers of truths like "Be sure your sin will find you out". God bless his word and quicken souls.
Good to hear that the Moslems with their surich law haven't got to that let.

I am rejoicing, my friend.
One of the best sights in the world is to see the word of God held aloft out on the street, and a Christian brother speaking out the soul-saving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The text on the placard, shown in the photograph?
1 John 1:7b KJV 7 ... and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Great Message!

Amen, another victory for the Lord on the streets. And this is also sad; this is the city D.L. Moody started his actual preaching. We were on the street once and a guy said he was form Moody Bible and he said he had never the Gospel presented this way, but he say when he gets back to Moody Bible he will maybe started getting people there interested, just got to pray and hope that the cowards don't bet him down. And who knows maybe he make connect with this church. I went looking and found this, http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-06-17/news/ct-met-street-preacher-20110617_1_street-preacher-ground-rules-right This tell more about what this church is doing.
