Archbishop: Jesus would be siding with Occupy movement

Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams says Jesus would have joined protesters from the anti-corporate Occupy movement who have been camped outside London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral for more than seven weeks.

In a British magazine, the leader of the world’s 78 million Anglicans worldwide insisted that Jesus would be “there, sharing the risks, not just taking sides.”

He has been given nothing. Nothing is required of him.

Much more importantly Rowan, How was your Preaching accepted by the congregation on your doorstep of Jesus Christ`s offer of salvation to sinners? Did it go well? Was the Lord`s Blessing upon It? Did you give out many Tracts? How much flack did you have to take Rowan? Hear of many Conversions through the preaching of The Word?
In Luke 12.48. The One, whom you "profess" to serve , Jesus Christ said "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required". May those words give you many long & sleepless nights.

The mainline church sadly demonstrates that the 'jesus' they reference is not the Jesus of the Bible but rather one of their own making. The WWJD banner in the accompanying photo betrays at best, a misunderstanding of Jesus' ministry. He had a singular mission and focus: reconciling sinners to God - period. It's not 'What Would Jesus Do?', but rather what has Jesus done! Even Jesus' humanitarianism pointed to that. Jesus uses the coin with Caesar's inscription to illustrate the utter distinction and separation of His Kingdom from the kingdom of this world. Perhaps Rowan should study instead Jesus' answer to the covetous man who wanted his brother's inheritance (Luke 12:13 ff.). The OWS crowd, on the other hand would do well to ponder Psalm 50:16-22.
