A Tennessee school district is under fire after a group of middle school football coaches were reprimanded for bowing their heads during a post-game prayer and teachers were warned to hide from students if they chose to pray during a nationally organized prayer event.
Of course if you want to ignore what the Bible says,
Romans 13 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil. 5 Wherefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. 1 Peter 2 13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,---NASB
"The policy was written in response to a lawsuit filed last May by the American Civil Liberties Union, alleging the school district has endorsed Christianity and violated the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution."
But it doesn't, for Congress is not establishing a State religion when a coach bows his head at a student-led prayer. I guess there is no law forbidding the ACLU from being stupid.
"He [Pastor Landrith] also alleged that one high school has forbidden students from handing out fliers about a Bible Study...." except from the article.
Now this is an area which we may disobey government, but also remember,
Gil Rugh wrote: With Daniel we see an example of a man who faithfully served his leaders and obeyed the government. Yet he still held to his biblical convictions. When the king’s law clashed with what God’s law said, Daniel respectfully disobeyed the king and was willing to face the consequences in a humble and godly way. What an example for us to follow!
This is getting totally crazy but we knew this would happen. Yet sikhs aren't told they can't wear their turbans in public and do there stupid bow to each other in religous respect for their fake dumb god. Muslim aren't told they can't wear their ugly halloween clorhing in public. We as Christians catholic Penticostal lutheran what have can't bow heads in prayer ! Why because Jesus is the true God that's why. We are gonna see more and more of this communist bs before Jesus takes us home. Please hurry Lord we are ready to come home.
