52% Say Boy Scouts Should Not Allow Homosexual Scout Leaders

A majority of Americans say the Boy Scouts should not allow open homosexuals to be Scout leaders, according to a new Gallup Poll.

The survey, conducted Nov. 28-29 for USA Today, found that only 42 percent of Americans support openly gay Scout leaders, while a majority 52 percent are opposed.

Well I used to think that reprobates were those eternally predestinated to eternal damnation, but I thank you for putting that one to bed. It appears that reprobate is just another word for sinner, which means that they can be saved, which contradicts your original post.

The Bible is called the sword of the Spirit. Ever hear that line?
Now the sword to be used against evil in the world is the Holy Word of God. The Bible.

This is a spiritual battle and the sword to be used in that kind of warfare - is the Bible.

Our battle is not with flesh and blood - Don't be a man-pleaser, using flattery like the Liberals do in the world.

The Word of God can take care of itself. We don't need to mollify it or even protect it against the reprobates ideologies!! Or apologise to society for its witness against the reprobate.

No John. The Word of God is precisely that - God's holy Word, law, doctrine and truth in this fallen existence.

As I remarked below Don't be ashamed of the Word of God.

Now. Don't you know what reprobates are?
Can't you distinguish these? ...
2Cor 13:6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

Can't you distinguish "works" of the reprobate (abominable/disobedient) compare with that which is of the true Christian?
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Can't you spiritually discern?

I don't understand why some went after Pastor Mike because it sounds like he was speaking against the errors of the RC church. Did I miss something? (Pastor Mike Hoggard?) I suppose there are many Pastor Mikes.

52% is WAY too low, if you ask me. Then again it was essentially 100% when I was in scouting back in the 1970s. Things have fallen apart a lot since then.

Are you saying that all sinners are reprobates?

Maybe I have misunderstood the word.

I have always called sinners, sinners.

But I am willing for enlightenment. Can a reprobate be saved?

It is highly likely, but not necessarily. You ought to be careful whom you call reprobate, lest you anger the Lord who is no respecter of persons and calls whom he will. Observe:

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Catholics are religious atheists, which the Word of God when read by one of God's Elect, reveals them to be idolatrous reprobates whom God has not provided with the ability to receive truth.

Atheists are in the same family and on the same path in life, since they too are reprobates whom God has not provided with the ability to receive truth.

As God Himself records;
Psalm 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Who are we to argue with God's description!

BTW Mike this article refers to the sodomites and what they are being allowed to do in a depraved world. But they too are reprobates who cannot receive the truth. I guess that puts you in their family also.
