LONDON -- A German government minister has been asked to reclassify the Bible as a book considered too dangerous for children because of its violent content.
Two lawyers from Bavaria made the request in a letter to Family Minister Christine Bergmann, in which they said the Bible contained "bloodthirsty and human rights-violating passages."
"It preaches genocide, racism, enmity towards Jews, gruesome executions for adulterers and homosexuals, the murder of one's own children and many other perversities," wrote Christian Sailer and Gert-Joachim Hetzel.
The Bible should remain on a list of books unsuitable for children until the offending passages are removed, they argued....
A classic attempt by two men, inspired of satan, to try and deny the truth of God's word and His salvation. Perversely, it is apparently alright to screen programs such which contain the very things that they have alleged the bible to contain - homosexuality, infanticide, murder, rape etc - because these things are 'entertainment'. The apostle Paul had a clear picture of our time when he described how men would love evil and would even commmend wrong, saying it is right. Time is short.
