On his seventieth birthday, pioneer missionary and spiritual giant of the faith William Carey wrote to one of his sons: ‚ÄúI am this day seventy years old, a monument of Divine mercy and goodness, though on a review of my life I find much, very much, for which I ought to be humbled in the dust; my direct and positive sins are innumerable, my negligence in the Lord‚Äôs work has been great, I have not promoted his cause, nor sought his glory and honour as I ought, notwithstanding all this, I am spared till now, and am still retained in His work, and I trust I am received into the divine favour through him.‚ÄĚ
The apostle Paul likewise attested, ‚ÄúThis is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.‚ÄĚ (1 Timothy 1:15). God still saves sinners today, displaying His divine favor on us!
We are thankful for our broadcasters who partner with us to proclaim this gloriously gospel on SermonAudio every day! We love to interact with them and to hear how this partnership encourages them and their congregations.
SermonAudio is proud to be a partner with FAME as we co-produce a weekly 'audio journal podcast' called Five Minutes of FAME taken from a first-person perspective by Field Leader, Rodney Davidson. Learn more about how to support the work!
But first, some other encouragements!
Hurricanes are a regular part of life along the gulf coast and those that live there long know that the wind and water will come, but most were not prepared for what followed the landfall of Harvey late Friday night.
Several of the churches on SermonAudio are at the heart of the area affected and although it is far too early to tell how many have been affected and what the extent of the damage has been we have heard from some of our friends there. We hope to contact more of them in the weeks to come and will continue to update this page with any new information that we receive.
We are sharing their reports with you in the hope that it will be an encouragement to pray for and help them. Please take a moment to read the reports from a few of our broadcasters below and join us in praying for them and supporting them as they seek to help in the recovery of those in need around them.
Encouraging broadcaster feedback..
Below is some of the feedback from broadcasters we've received just this past week. We encourage you to contact them and tell them that you saw them here!
Rev Garth Wilson, Sandown Free Presbyterian Church www.sermonaudio.com/sandownfpc"SermonAudio works very well for us. Over time the number of people accessing our sermons has slowly increased. There are several older members of our church who once faithfully attended each service but are now unable to do because of health. These folks are now able to still listen to our sermons every week thanks to your site. We find it easy to use, well organized, and freely available to any who want to listen. Thank you for making this all possible."
Mark LaCour, Grace Bible Fellowship www.sermonaudio.com/gbf"SermonAudio is a great blessing to me personally as a pastor and to our church family. You are a wellspring and a great encouragement for us all here. I listen to a sermon from your site at least every other day. I love the staff picks and recommended sermons! We are amazed at all you do. I wouldn’t change anything you do. We appreciate you reaching out to us last year when we experienced the floods in LA! You raised awareness of what churches on SermonAudio were experiencing and it was great to see the body of Christ respond to our needs."
Elder Zack Guess, Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/gracechapelpbc"You have a great ministry and we are thrilled to be a part of it. It’s just amazing to us how many people we can reach with the gospel through this means. I know a pastor who has a small ministry and longs deeply to reach more people in his community with the Word. He faithfully shepherds this small flock but he is always so encouraged when he sees how many people download his sermons and when he gets feedback from listeners! We get quite a bit of feedback ourselves and just think this is a wonderful means available to churches. We are very excited about all that God is doing through SermonAudio!"
Michael Early, tech leader, Grace Chapel Reformed Baptist Church www.sermonaudio.com/gracechapelrbc"We really appreciate the visibility that SermonAudio provides for us. There are not many churches of our kind in Central Alabama, yet people in our area have located us through SermonAudio, have visited us, and some have united with us. It’s a great tool to help people connect with churches. I have always found the systems you have for uploading sermons to be easy to use. We are very encouraged by our partnership with you."
We would encourage you to read through more testimonials we've received over the years from both listeners and broadcasters alike.
