With a weakened leader and reeling from crisis, Britain hurtles into the Brexit unknown
At one of the most important junctures for Europe and the West since the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union, May's government is reeling from a crisis of her own making the loss of her parliamentary majority in a June 8 snap election she did not need to call.

Such is the collapse of May's authority that her entire Brexit strategy is being picked apart in public by her ministers, her lawmakers and her allies on the eve of formal negotiations which begin in Brussels on Monday at 0900 GMT.

Despite signals from both France and Germany last week that Britain would still be welcome to stay if it changed its mind, Brexit minister David Davis insisted on Sunday there would be no turning back.

'As I head to Brussels to open official talks to leave the EU, there should be no doubt — we are leaving the European Union,' said Davis, who will launch the talks with chief EU negotiator Michel Barnier. ...

""Such is the collapse of May's authority that her entire Brexit strategy is being picked apart in public by her ministers""

"Brexit" I am sick to death of hearing this stupid made up word!!!

Britain's exit from the European project is the best decision taken by the British people for decades.

What in truth this actually means is that Britain is released from an anti-Christian - Federalist Liberalist socialist and probably some commie-ist Dictatorship.

This Vatican backed political dictatorship when it was first voted for in 1970's Britain was called "Common Market" - - Since then it has morphed into the Federalist Dictatorship that it now is.

Well done the people of Britain for once you managed to make a right decision.

GOD be praised.

"Prior to the 2016 EU Referendum the Society produced a high quality 16-page colour booklet entitled - A Christian case for leaving the European Union - by Duncan Boyd, a member of the PTS Council. The booklet defines the EU and its structure, and gives an account of its history. It details issues of current and developing concern, and demonstrates how Britain’s membership of the EU endangers its Protestant Christian heritage."

"Despite signals from both France and Germany last week that Britain would still be welcome to stay if it changed its mind, Brexit minister David Davis insisted on Sunday there would be no turning back."

It would not surprise me one bit if at some point the British people got so fed up with all this delay that they decided to reverse their initial decision to come out. There are some very powerful people involved in all this, and they are not happy at Brexit.

We must indeed pray for PM Teresa May, her Government, her Conservative Party, and the N Ireland DUP, that she has to ally with, which is a much despised evangelical leaning party, that had kept abortion and homosexual marriage out if N Ireland, when it is legal in both the rest of the United Kingdom(Scotland, England and Wales). Homosexual / lesbian "marriage" is now also legal in the Republic of Ireland, after a referendum, and abortion is on the brink of being legalised there.

Teresa May weakened herself by calling an unnecessary election when she had a clear majority, and by her clumsy approach to the tragic fire at the Grenfell Tower in West London.

Jeremy Corbyn, the seemingly unelectable leftist Labour leader, ( our British version of Senator Bernie Sanders), came out very well in both issues, and his minions have made a great deal of both issues.

We now face a "Brexit", where contrary to the wishes of the British people in June 2016, we may instead of leaving the EU totally, and become a sort of non-member with "associate" status, something like Norway, with independence in some issues, but totally subject to EU laws on others, and particularly bound by trade laws, the Single Market, Customs Union, and unlimited EU immigration.
