Trump: 'In America we don't worship government, we worship God'

Speaking to a friendly crowd at the country's largest Christian university on Saturday, President Trump told the graduating class that "in America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.”

“America has always been the land of dreams because America is a nation of true believers,” Trump told those gathered at Liberty University.

“When the pilgrims landed at Plymouth, they prayed. When the founders wrote the Declaration of Independence, they invoked our creator four times. Because in America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.” ...

As the Mormon Jesus willn't save you, nor will the JWS Jesus, or the Jesus of Rome who needs the sinner help, as He doesn't save to the utter most alone. The Jesus of Islam is stripped of His Deity making him only a succession of being a great prophet used by Allah only. Manny will say upon that day Lord, Lord, for they truly hadn't ever had their spiritual heart of stone exchanged out, with a new spiritual heart of flesh in & through Christ alone amen.
You really do need help from Jesus if you believe that Catholics worship a different Jesus and not the biblical and historical Jesus. The Apostles and Nicene Creeds state clearly "We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ". Does that sound like a different Jesus to you? And since the JW's deny that Jesus is God then they do not have a Jesus.

God provided His Word; His Word which has been made available to every one of us. What more important words, in the history of mankind, to become familiar with? Whats more important than God's Word and our eternal fate, yet man chooses to listen to man or their own wisdom for their own unique version truth; particular truths which allow them to carry on with their own particular lusts and worldly desires, judgement free.

Have to agree. What I'm seeing more and more of in this nation, and mainly by watching social media and listening to mainstream, is that most believe they are Heavenbound because they are "good" people. The bible has not only become insignificant, but unnecessary. Few know God's rules for Christian living or what actually makes one a Christian. They have re-written the rules which now encompass anyone who simply believes, and is good in their own eyes. What's troubling is that these "Christians", and everyone can be a Christian these days, can live and do as they please, but because they use Christian verbiage and say the word, "God", they are saved. Sodomites, trannys, womanizers, whoever, whoever, is a Christian because they say the right things when nothing could be farther from the truth. Sad. Also sad are those they surround themselves with who pat them on the back instead of telling them the cold, hard truth, truth according to God.
Live and do as you please just as long as you say you believe. That seems to be the new way of salvation.

This is nothing more than Trump saying what he thinks 'evangelicals' at L.U., a 'Christian' university, want to hear.

"Because in America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.” Who is he referring to when he says 'we'? America is a vile nation, slaughtering thousands of babies each day, condoning homosexual marriage and immoral behavior of every kind; pornography is also widespread, and 40 % of babies born in the US are to unwed mothers {http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/cdc-babies-born-unmarried-women-exceeded-40-8th-straight-year}. America's 'god is 'self'. God does have a remnant of believers in this country, but to state the nation as a whole 'worships' God is just not so.
Trump hasn't an ounce of discernment, as this statement proves, “America has always been the land of dreams because America is a nation of true believers” How does an unregenerate sinner know what 'true believers' even look like?!? He's pandering to the crowd at this university. He's playing theme the same way Obama played the crowds that loved and supported him. This is politics as usual and at it's finest...lying words from unclean lips.

What's even more disturbing than that is Christians getting all giddy over this man's speech.

http://tinyurl.com/c9454aj (Plague on both their houses: The real story of growth and decline in liberal and conservative churches) which is a worthwhile read as is,
Stanley Hauerwas wrote:
we are, in other words, people of our own making, constituted by a free choice. And that free choice is the only thing we are responsible for.

But the problem with such an account of responsibility is that it makes marriage, among other things, completely unintelligible. How could you ever know what you were doing when you promised life-long monogamous fidelity? That is why the church insists that your vows be witnessed by the church, because the church believes it has the duty to hold you responsible to promises you made when you did not know what you were doing.

This obviously has profound implications for how faith is understood....

It is impossible to avoid the fact that American Christianity is far less than it should have been just to the extent that the church has failed to make clear that America's god is not the God that Christians worship.

So, NeedHim, you have a point.

"It is why our currency proudly declares, 'In God We Trust,'" Trump continued. "And it is why we proudly proclaim that we are one nation, under God, every time we say the Pledge of Allegiance."

Trump’s speech on Saturday was his first commencement address as president.
Trump noted that worshipping God is “why our elected officials put their hands on the Bible and say ‘so help me God’ as they take the oath of office
-
my short time in Washington, I've seen first-hand how the system is broken," Trump told graduates at Liberty University, an evangelical school in Lynchburg, Va.

"A small group of failed voices, who think they know everything, and understand everyone, want to tell everybody else how to live and what to do and how to think," he continued
"But you aren't going to let other people tell you what you believe, especially when you know that you are right."

Trump encouraged graduates to challenge the status quo and be undeterred by criticism.

"Being an outsider is fine, embrace the label. Because it's the outsiders who change the world," Trump said

Acts17:6
"And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;"

Thank God for President Trump. He is giving Satan a Black eye in America. We believers still have many things to pray for but I acknowledge and am thankful for what has already been accomplished and reversed from the last eight years.
