France Just Made Spanking Your Kid Illegal
Parents throughout France now need to think twice before spanking children who misbehave, as it could land them in hot water with the law. According to a new law that was recently passed, parents will be required to spare the rod and turn to other measures of discipline — like positive reinforcement — instead.

On December 22, the French parliament successfully voted to enact the "Equality and Citizenship" bill, which places a country-wide ban on all forms of corporal punishment, including harmful physical treatment like caning, flogging, or, a more common form of punishment — spanking.

Child abuse was already illegal in the country, but this new law, which makes spanking a civil rather than criminal offense, was created to eradicate all forms of "degrading, cruel and humiliating" treatment of kids by their parents. ...

While I don't like the government telling me how to decipline my children, I can understand how this will benefit the Muslim culture that thinks it's still ok to kill your children for how they dress etc!!

"John Yurich USA from USA writes: When I get married and have children when I tell them to be quiet they will instantly comply or they will be subject to punishment in the form of spanking or time out. I will not put up with any noise from the children. The children will not be permitted to speak unless they are spoken to."

You'll make a good dictator, but a horrible father.

Just as contrast- France moved toward legal suicide recently-
France steps toward Euthanasia- the Guardian
As Biblical foundations crumble-" good = evil\evil=good"

Brother Yang Hua in China's example contrasts with "easy exit" of deceiving Devils.
SA's Cooley on Suicide's evils.
"let it be a warning to some, out there who listen to this and think that its the one way out. No. that's the way to Hell. .... Because the Bible says There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man (1 Corinthians 10:13) Right? And God gives us what? A WAY TO ESCAPE. That you may be able to bear it. Right? God always gives a way out of any temptation that comes our way. That we are able to bear it. "

It seems the same attitude of not wishing to prayerfully deal with problem children in loving discipline goes hand in hand with despair of not giving our life to our Loving Father's discipline -
To despair turns our back on God- and his Word.

France similarly abandons PROPER spanking due to many wrong pagan actions that make a devilish lie attractive.

I wonder how they are going to enforce this in the 'sensitive zones' around Paris that are mostly Muslim, where the uniformed police will not enter. Alas, Charlemagne's great victory over them has been forgotten!

Yet few voices have been raised about the systematic abuse of children by RC priests across the globe. . "suffer the little children."

Justice for Shefford boys: Scout master jailed for campaign of abuse at orphanage 'from hell' Oct 2016
Source: UK - Bedfordshire on Sunday
"A PAEDOPHILE scout master at a Shefford children's home linked to Jimmy Savile has been jailed for sexually abusing boys in the 1960s, it can now be revealed.
John Cahill, 73, attacked four boys, aged between 10 and 15 years old, while leading the scout troop at the Catholic St Francis Boys Home, in Shefford, Bedfordshire.
The case can be reported after a jury found former housemaster James McCann, 80, abused 26 children, aged between eight and 12, in the 1960s and 1970s.
The cruelty was said to be orchestrated by Father John Ryan, who died in 2008, and prosecutor Matthew Walsh said there was a culture of ill-treatment in the home run by 'nuns and priests from hell'.
Savile was a regular visitor to the area and is believed to have attended the chapel at the home.
The Old Bailey heard Ryan and several nuns would have been prosecuted if they were still alive today.
The Catholic Church has paid out compensation to two victims and more are pursuing civil claims in a class action."

Good thoughts, Connor. Spare the rod and spoil the child is still true today, but this new age of political correctness, and sissyism has put the children in control of the parents. Many parents live in fear as their own children threaten to call the cops if they should ever touch them. Me and my brothers and sisters go beat silly with a strap, all over the backs, legs, wherever it fell. That sort of abuse is what kids need to be protected from, but regular spanking works wonders when it comes to discipline, especially when nothing else is working.

I think a great deal of the disdain for spanking, is that parents do it incorrectly, dad or mom gets irrationally angry and then just unloads on a kid..or kids, without any desire for teaching their kids the right way, there's no reading scriptures, prayer or desire to glorify God in it.

I would blame part of it due to some erroneous teaching, trust me I've heard some seriously illogical and certainly unscriptural preaching on this issue. Spankings are to deter the kids from doing evil and lead them to glorify God.

Personally, I think that the adult always needs to pray (in a separate room) before they spank their child, then explain to the child what they did wrong and why they are getting punished (from scripture), then after the spanking pray with the child, asking God to teach the child the right way. There needs to be some serious reform concerning spanking.

Matthew Cobb quotes a man named
Boris Vildé, executed by the Nazis.
His last words were:
“I love France. I love this beautiful country. Yes,
I know it can be
small-minded,
selfish,
politically rotten
and a victim of its old glory,
but with all these faults it remains enormously human and will not sacrifice its stature.”
(Waaaayyy back in the 1940s)
But by refusing to grapple with its underlying faults, many here say, that is exactly what it is doing

Might be a need for the VichyItchySociaisme types to meet the same resistant from French resistance fighters to save their tots.

Yikes. I have no idea if you're joking around at times or not, John. Between that, and confusing them with Roman Catholicism for 12yrs, then telling them most of the doctrines are false, and then springing Billy Graham VHS tapes on them at that point, maybe get them going with Christian councilling while in diapers to prepare them for what's to come.
Either that, or skip all the children and concentrate on your albums and travelling.

France being socialist/communist and Liberal will not recognise authority. The aim and effects today of Liberalism in nations is to eradicate the difference between right and wrong making everything right; - Except disagreeing with Big Brother Liberalism.

This helps Satan to more effectively establish sin as the way of life in society.

God's instructions on parenting is :

Prov 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Prov 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Prov 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

"Irreligion and atheism have a long history and a large demographic constitution in France, with the advancement of atheism and the deprecation of theistic religion dating back as far as the French Revolution. In 2015, according to estimates, at least 29% of the country's population identifies as atheists and 63% identifies as non-religious" (Wiki)

"The French Revolution marked a turning point for the ascendancy of atheism to a preeminent position as a cognitive and cultural stance against papal supremacy and the Holy Roman Empire across Europe and throughout the world." (Wiki)

Yes it will be a working ranch with vegetable garden, apple trees, cherry trees, chickens, horses, range cattle, sheep. When I am home from touring I will do the ranch work but when I am on the road touring then my wife's father or some of her other relatives will do the ranch work.

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement.
The above is a good definition of an internet troll and it doesn’t have anything to do with where you attend church.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
He isn't a troll for being on topic

On a topic about child discipline, John Y affirmed his future children would be well behaved. He received several replies. A poster that everyone has been ignoring today because that poster is often off topic, then called John Y a troll

imo- It was the jealousy of the person that called John Y a nasty name(troll)that was shameful, not John Ys on topic response
