Catholic School Revises Hiring Policy To Allow Gays

A Roman Catholic school in Portland has changed its policy on hiring gay employees following the uproar over its decision to withdraw a job offer to a lesbian woman.

The St. Mary’s Academy board voted for the reversal Wednesday night, about 24 hours after it became public that the school rescinded the offer to 27-year-old Lauren Brown, a college counselor. St. Mary’s had also offered Brown six months of pay to not disclose the terms of the proposed settlement and refrain from criticizing the school.

In an email to parents, St. Mary’s president Christina Friedhoff said the school – though still “deeply committed” to its Catholic identity – was immediately adding sexual orientation to its equal employment opportunity policy. ...

Things seem to be a bit different these days, John, with political correctness taking over the nation and the "if it might hurt someones feelings, don't say it" mentality. Given the students reaction, I would say that whatever they're learning these days is being grossly watered down and things they should be learning, bypassed altogether.

Hmmm. Could this be because God's Word isn't being taught in it's fullness as only feel good verses and storys are read in the schools and at mass? My wife, her family, and nobody here I know, people who were students at Catholic schools and ever miss a mass have no idea what Sodom and Gomorrah is, no idea why Noah was commanded to build a barge, believe that anything not specifically written into the 10 commandments is okay, and laugh that anyone could have lived to such old ages, the idea that a donkey spoke, or the though of a burning bush, a pillar of light, etc, etc, etc. Nobody is taught His Word, nobody seems to care about the contents of His Word, and anything they never learned through the catecisms or heard from the mouth of a priest is laughable, they don't believe it, or it just doesn't matter. I will always and forever wonder why anyone will choose to look to mere men for all instruction when we have His instruction book at our disposal, especially when it comes to eternity.
I was taught in religious education class about Sodom and Gomorrah and that homosexuality is a sin.

Parents interviewed before Wednesday’s reversal said their daughters love the school and are encouraged to be outspoken. They said students were bewildered by the administration’s decision to reject Brown.

Stacey Ufer said her daughter, Sabrina, was shocked because it went against everything she learns at school.

“My religion teacher tells me to accept everybody – my religion teacher,” Ufer was told by her daughter. “She couldn’t process it in her 16-year-old brain. It didn’t jibe with her reality of what the school promotes.”

Its incredible that we have got to the position in society that we must declare what we do in bed as part of the curriculum vitae???

After looking back through the news feeds, I just can't believe how the sodomites have been allowed to take over this country by storm. I see their nonscense all over the news, social media, and TV programming being dedicated to glamorizing them and their lifestyles. How far and how quickly this nation has fallen in such a short span of time. Everything went backwards so quickly that my head is still spinning in disbelief. Anyone who speaks out against them or the deadly disease they spread almost has to go into hiding after. Doctors can't convey the perils of their lifestyle, pastors can't speak the truth from the bible, and teachers can't correct a boy when his parents confused him into thinking he's a girl, etc. What an odd time in our history. Not long ago, sodomy was illegal and considered to be a mental illness. Now, more and more people, along with this administration and the legal system say, "How dare you deny the love that two of the same gender feel for each other", "How dare you tell little Tommy he can't have a barbie easy bake oven", "How dare you speak against our hero Bruce who courageously became Kate", "How dare you tell Bill he can't use the ladies restroom on the days he feels pretty", "How dare you confuse our children with signage that specifically l

Clerical Celibacy is one of the things that makes the Romish Church a warped, twisted organization. No wonder the laity supports queer lifestyles with so many homosexual priests
