Jimmy Carter insists Jesus wouldn’t condemn homosexuality
More than a decade after leaving the Southern Baptist Convention and five years after publicly denouncing the Bible’s teaching of wives submitting to their husbands, former President Jimmy Carter is stepping it up a notch by stating that Jesus wouldn't judge or condemn homosexual behavior.
In fact, Carter goes as far as to say that God looks at people’s sexual orientation in the same way he looks at their skin color and financial status.
“I never knew of any word or action of Jesus Christ that discriminated against anyone because of who they were,” Carter proclaimed last week. “And the sexual orientation of a person is just like the color of their skin or whether they are poor or rich or whether they live in a foreign country or our country.”...
