Dawkins: ‘Immoral’ not to abort Down’s syndrome child
Leading atheist Richard Dawkins has been widely criticised for claiming that it is “immoral” not to abort Down’s syndrome babies, during a debate on Twitter.

In response to a tweet which asked whether close to 1,000 Down’s syndrome abortions in England and Wales in 2012 is “civilised”, Professor Dawkins said it is “very civilised”, because these are “foetuses, diagnosed before they have human feelings”.

He sparked the debate by linking to a story about Ireland’s abortion laws, and saying, “Ireland is a civilised country except in this 1 area”. ...

We cannot expect Mr Dawkins to have morals whilst he is under the dominion and influence of sin.

Nations are murdering babies in the womb by the million in the world today. So with much of the church being dead as dodo's the atheists will be proclaiming Satan's message of hate, malevolence, malice and all things sin.

Thanks for all the encouragement you people have given concerning our Down Syndrome son, Jotham! It's much appreciated. We know he's going to be a great blessing to us and many others.

Amazingly, GOD seemed to lead us to naming him Jotham only a week before he was born seven weeks prem. Jotham means "Yahweh is perfect". What a great reminder for us all!

It saddens my heart to even read such hateful things as contained in this article. He speaks from ignorance. My son is a very happy young man. He leads us in prayer before every meal! The world is a better place with my son in it!!!

Thank you so much Michael Hranek ( sorry I misspelt your surname on my last comment ). My pray is that our Lord will keep me from murmuring but to be grateful for all especially with all the atrocities going on in the world at the moment, may He richly bless you, your wife and family .

MG, I have a mentally disabled sister who is now an adult, she has the mind of a 3 year old and through her I meet those with Down Syndrome and they are the most loving, gentle, kind, smiley people I know, when I read Richard Dawkins comment I thought, how dare he, but then what does he know. May our Gracious Lord uphold you and family, you made a wise choice.

I don't feel immoral after the recent birth of our eighth child! He has Down Syndrome! We knew there was a chance he had it, but didn't do the more invasive tests - they weren't going to change our minds on keeping the child GOD was giving us!

Elise Scotland
Thank you so much for your encouraging post back. Right now I am thanking God how He is touching so many of us for all our good through our Brother Christopher000

Sarah my wife and I have been talking a good bit of this praying woman, the mother of a precious Baptist sister I worked with, who was famous no matter how bad she was being mistreated (abused) she never lost sight that in His immeasurable undeserved love for her how Jesus died for her sin, setting an example of someone who truly loves Jesus, longs to please Him and looks forward with joyfull expectation of that day when she sees Him face to face

Her pastor told me of all the people he had in his church, he would choose to have it be her, this humble mother many would not even notice she was there praying for him than anyone else

So Great and wonderful
Blessing to you Dear Sister
Sarah and I are going shopping
She is traveling South to visit with our daughter
while I hold down the fort around here

I won't say how I'm doing because I think most are getting naucious over the spilling of my guts. I can tell by the lack of replys, but then again, this isn't the place for the personal things I dump on these poor souls...ha-ha. Everyone has their own problems and I don't want to come across as if I don't recognize that fact. I'll read the email this AM but if my wife is around, won't be able to respond back today.
Thanks! Really appreciate it!
Brother Saint Christopher000
Are you not family with everyone of us born again of the Spirit of God? Despite our imperfections (not yours) you matter to us and we are compelled in love to lift you up in our prayers

Let me share something you might rest in and be encouraged by as you go through your present trials and come out joyfully victorious in Christ

I saw this in an abused woman in TN, it is this (for all of us):
NEVER FORGET! No matter how bad you are treat and hurt, Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again FOR YOU!

He will never leave you nor forsake you
God will work all things together for your good, and keep you through the worst of trials

Praying!

Bro everyone of your friends here is concerned for you. If you read the thread on which you originally posted you will see many posts. More importantly, I am sure that we will all be praying for you.

Write me when you can. There's no rush.

...oops. Sorry...I guess there are responses, and many. : / ...that's an embarassed face...ha-ha. I thought I had posted in a different thread so didn't notice the replys. I'll read.thru them a bit later because my phone only scrolls so far. I feel bad though that there is some contention, but not sure what it's about yet. I don't like being the focus, but am really at my wits end and needed some outside, Christian opinions. Didn't mean to clog up a thread, but really needed some advice from others looking from the outside in after giving a basic glimpse. Man, I could write a serious book about this marraige and what I have been up against...ha-ha.

MG, eight children...wow! Good for you! I have seen many, many down syndrome children and as adult and as far as I could see, they were extremely polite, loving, and helpful. A complete and utter disregard for human life has this man, along with his athiest friends who view an unborn child as a lump of nothingness, but rage when someone kills that same child upon arrival.
Hey bro

How are you this morning?

I tried to send you a PM yesterday, but it seemed to bounce. Did you get it? If not, has you EM address changed?
