State Dept Rejects ISIL’s Claim It Is At War With America
The State Department downplayed comments from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) leaders that they are at war with America, arguing that their violence is not directed at any particular country or race.

At a briefing Thursday, a reporter brought up anti-American comments from ISIL leaders: “I mean, even they are announcing, ISIL people in their message, whatever, the recorded message, other messages, that now we are in a war with America.”

“This is not about ISIL versus the United States,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf objected. “They are killing anyone who gets in their way: Sunnis, Shia Muslims, Christians, Yazidis, Iraqis, Syrians, anyone who gets in their way — and now an American.” ...

Hi Penny, no, I was just agreeing that the uproar over one of many, many videos out there, and using it as an excuse to riot and murder was ridiculous.

Christopher, Benghazi was about arms running to start the thing in Syria? its been a chain of events. Libya preceeded it, a terrible atrocity against the Libyan people, taken from them the right to self govern, and qad was building an African currency built on gold, would have given them independence from the Saudi-American petro dollar.

remember B kissing the Saudi prince? remember O bowing to him and causing controversy?

this imperialism has done no good for any of the people's involved, the joke is on us that we keep repeating the myths from the news instead of getting to the core of what is really happening. until we do, we have volunteered ourselves like gerbils to keep running on the wheel that they put us on.

I still think about how ridiculous this was and how this president worked those who can't think for themselves into a frenzy. I remember how he sympathized and felt such deep regret as he apogized to all Muslims for the horrible thing that was done. Thing is, that video was only one of countless others on the internet of the same sort, but for some reason, that one was singled out as an excuse for murder and mayhem. The fact that this president came out swinging once again scolding America before the world and apologizing for our awful, unloving acts against those sworn to hate and murder us was ridiculous. Don't you dare, says Mr OBama, ever insult Muhammed or the moon god, but go ahead and mock and ridicule Christ untilyour hearts content. No problem, just leave Islam alone, or else.

I'm rethinking this one. Imagine someone you know being murdered. The police are called out and the family says, "don't matter who done it, it was God's will, and men are sinners."

American tv is filled with conspiracy shows of intrigue regarding street crimes, but when it comes to heavily documented real events so many think it is their responsibility to not ascertain actual events. Americans will sit in front of tvs and try to figure out a murder mystery, their libraries are filled with fiction novels (they even get their theology from fiction novels and movies), but seem to have a disconnect with reality.

Reminds of the Soviet days. Wurmbrand would go to people to share about God and they would say, "what is this 'God', the state has not told us of this thing?"

Well wishing doesn't include manipulation of circumstances and events, so no, I don't see liberals as sweet well wishers. I also don't see them or their neocon friends smart enough to con the world with some vast conspiracy to take over. They're doing what their fallen natures require of them, why give them credit for such deep intelligence? They are run of the mill wacko lusters for power, and seeing their name in print, saving the world for democracy, etc.

Supposing all you say is true? The base cause of it still remains the sin nature. It doesn't really matter what path they take, it's the wrong one, and results in chaos. This will continue until then Lord says "No More!"

"In June, a flurry of press coverage in Western New York reported on the close relationship between District Attorney William Hochul and local Muslim leader Dr. Khalid Qazi. Vows of mutual respect and support were exchanged between Hochul and Qazi, and so were ceremonial awards. The Department of Justice gave Qazi its Attorney General’s Citizen Volunteer Service Award for Community Service at a June 5th ceremony.

there is evidence that Qazi may be far from the moderate Muslim-American leader portrayed by Hochul and in the Buffalo media. In fact, a just-released, independently-created video by Americans for Peace and Tolerance (our organization) presents evidence that shows that Qazi has a long history of supporting Islamic extremist activity, including raising money for an Al Qaeda charity accused of funneling funds to Al Qaeda and serving as a director of what the FBI alleges is an American front group for a Pakistani intelligence operation aimed at buying influence with American politicians." I know I'm a broken record around here. Mike, if the US strong arm pays jihadists in Syria how would they be on opposite sides?
It happens because the govt tries to manipulate outcomes by "helping" those who are perceived at the time to be less of a problem than those they fight against. It was once thought Russia was the baddest in Afghan, so the nut case al qaeda was helped. Wrong again. Stupidity seems to run rampant at the highest level. I don't think it on purpose, I think it the result of unbelievers running things. They do not get it that there is the fallen nature, thus they think man can be improved in his thinking by arms, food, meds alone, and not take into account basic worldviews and religious foundations. Which is also why they never learn from previous failures from doing the same thing. Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results...?

"State Dept Rejects ISIL’s Claim It Is At War With America"

This State Dept is as confused as ever. The group at war says who they are at war with, and State says no they aren't. Isn't this the same outfit that said, as part of administration excuse-making, that the attack on the mission in Benghazi was a spontaneous reaction to a video? And kept saying it until it became ridiculous to do so?

I don't understand (maybe someone can help me out) why this administration keeps repeating that ISIL doesn't represent any religion.

I will take them at their word. If they say they are at war with us then they are. I think they believe we are the problem with the rest of the world. Maybe they think our influence is the oroblem. As immoral as we are (the West) it gives them no right to murder people.
