Ebola-Stricken Countries Turning to Ancient Practice to Curb Outbreak
Three West-African countries battling the worst-ever Ebola outbreak have taken ‚Äúextraordinary actions‚ÄĚ by beginning to cordon off affected areas ‚Äď a tactic used in medieval times to fight the bubonic plague.

Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia ‚Äď the countries hardest hit by the deadly virus ‚Äď have started to set up a cross-border isolation zone patrolled by guards, according to the Associated Press. Food and medical supplies will be delivered inside the ‚Äúcordon sanitaire‚ÄĚ or sanitary barrier, but no one will be allowed to leave. ...

You give sensible reason in your first sentence, but then you make a connection to rich men? As you said, better medical in the west, and we can add to that, different life patterns. If wealth were a real factor, the poor and middle class here would be getting it, but they aren't, and without vaccine.

Dr. Brantley seems to be doing quite a bit better and is talking about going home. I doubt if this is going to happen anytime soon, from what I read, the recovery period is at least several weeks. The only thing I could find about Nancy Writebol from which, "American Ebola patient's son says she's getting better and doctors are 'very optimistic' about recovery." Space this is several days old. So, it may be more tricky with her than has been reported in this article. The Spanish priest he was flown home to Spain, died even with an injection of zmapp.

We can only wish that part of the world well, and aid will have to be done probably on a government to government level.
