Vatican calls on Muslim leaders to condemn Christian persecution in Iraq
The Vatican has called on Muslim leaders to denounce unambiguously the persecution of Christians and Yazidis in Iraq – and hinted that it is considering breaking off dialogue with Islamic representatives if they fail to do so.

In a statement on Tuesday, the department in charge of inter-religious dialogue said: "The dramatic situation of the Christians, the Yazidis, and other minority religious and ethnic communities in Iraq demands that religious leaders, and above all Muslim religious leaders, people engaged in inter-religious dialogue and all people of good will take a clear and courageous stance. All must be unanimous in their unambiguous condemnation of these crimes and denounce the invoking of religion to justify them." ...

I should also add the following URL in explaining the relationship between Catholicism and Islam: http://www.johnankerberg.org/Articles/roman-catholicism/RC1101W2.htm (Understanding Islam and Roman Catholicism).

This Pope naivete is shocking. It does show that as we move closer to the tribulation, the Romish qChurch will be certainly part of the Babylonian one. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/08/18/pope-endorses-use-force-to-protect-iraq-minorities-but-says-un-should-approve/? (Pope endorses use of force to protect Iraq minorities, but says UN should approve intervention). Now, I have supported what this Pope said about the Middle East or Iraq in particular to be more precise. However, I have never cared for Catholic Wars be they the Spanish American one, are the Vietnam one. we shouldn't forget The Pope’s Push for a One-World Religion is the purpose of all popes.

reading The Guardian article brought this to mind.
Emperor Manual II Paleologos of the Byzantine Empire wrote:
Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.

John, I thought you would come out whoe-heartedly for your leader who is trying to protect his fellow nominal Christians? For once I will agree with him even if he really wants The Pope’s Push for a One-World Religion. The 'Guardian'. has had several interesting items in it lately, http://www.jpost.com/LandedPages/PrintArticle.aspx?id=370915 ('Guardian’ runs anti-Hamas Wiesel ad but support for Israel still ebbs )

Of course the Muslim leaders are not going to condemn Christian persecution in Iraq because the Koran commands all Muslims to kill the infidels who according to the Koran are the Jews, Christians and all Non Muslims.
