Former Homosexual Reveals 'Unmitigated Disaster of Gay Marriage'

The idea floated by so-called "gay theology" that God created people to be homosexual (i.e., that He is the cause for such desires) is as ridiculous for the homosexual as it is for the drug addict. The Scriptures are clear about what God designed and what He desires. They are also clear that because of the sinful actions of our forebears, we are born with a sin nature that pulls us strongly in various destructive directions. Homosexual desire, born from a complicated convergence of our fallen nature, idolatry, rebellion, temperament, environment, experiences and developmental factors is just one more way that happens.

It does no good to pretend that it is good and natural and holy. That's called denial. Statistics overflow with evidence that homosexual sex causes damage to body, soul and spirit. It actually damages the body of the partner. It tears at the body in ways that result in homosexual sex ...

Ladybug...
May we who truly belong to the Lamb maintain good works for necessary uses, that we be not unfruitful.
Grace and peace to you all.

Michael,
I have not read Rosaria's 'secret thoughts' as of yet. I was deeply impressed with the pastor and his wife as they were so patient and gracious towards Rosaria. I think there is a lesson there for many who have 'head knowledge' but lack compassion.

May we all strive for humility and compassion; may we genuinely love the lost and always, always remember, 'such were some of you'.

Blessings to you Michael, and to Dorcas, Delores, Carl in Greensburg, Nat from Australia, GS, LJ, and all who truly belong to the Lamb.

Dorcas, Ladybug..I agree that this was a very interesting article about homosexual behavior and coming from someone who has been there. It was moving and inspiring and he cleared up some things I had wondered about. We all were in rebellion and sinners at one time before Christ changed us. We sometimes forget that.

Here is another testimony to the grace of God working in and saving sinners; Dr. Rosaria Butterfield was rescued from darkness, including her sin of lesbianism. Her story should cause us to rejoice with her and lift up praises to our incredible, amazing, merciful God - http://youtu.be/hkJZSeUGzWw

Thanks for giving the link to YouTube

By any chance have you read The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield?

While I would not necessarily agree with all her opinions (after all there is so much to learn and sometimes unlearn as we grow in faith), nevertheless the first hand insight/testimony she gives in how a certain Presbyterian pastor and his wife and the people in this particular church treated her genuinely affected her to honestly consider the Truth about God and Christ and IMHO was enormously used by the Holy Spirit in bringing her to saving faith, gives all of us something we can learn and grow in, in our own lives

Well at least if one has any heart at all for the lost to be genuinely saved from sin

Amen Dorcas, our Lord did indeed eat and drink with sinners. Yes, we have many Pharisees among us who lay out 'do's and don't's -sadly, they lack love and compassion for the lost. I was horrified when I recently watched Mr. Miano in action, he'd posted a video where he called an unregenerate a 'liar' 35 times! This man came after Miano because of Miano's badgering him. Later, on his radio program, Miano attempted to justify his badgering of the man...it was very disturbing.

May God keep us ever humble, may love be truly manifest in the hearts His true sheep.

I'm glad you brought them up Dorcas, they befriended Rosaria and spent the next couple of years sharing Christ with her, explaining the Scriptures, answering her questions, and being a faithful witness. I have heard self-proclaimed street evangelist Tony Miano claim we are NOT to practice 'friendship evangelism'; Rosaria's testimony proves him to be wrong.

Delores, you may find Rosaria's testimony to be encouraging. May God have mercy on your loved ones who are caught in the bondage of sin.

I have read her wonderful testimony.
It is worthy to note the couple who witnessed Christ to her and their love and grace!

Dolores....the news article above was about the love, mercy and grace of yet another sinner being saved.
But there always seems to be one of the pharisaical group among us who delights in using derogatory language and spewing it continually on the board like a juvenile who just learned a new 'cuss' word.
Instead of rejoicing that another lost sheep was found, they stand by with stones ready to hurl....makes one wonder how the love of God abides in such.....

What is much worse, in my eyes, than being a homosexual ( I have three lesbians in my family and one great nephew who is gay and they are law abiding kind, loving individuals) and they all hold jobs. What's horrific, to me, is a hetersexual male or female that is a wife beater, child molester, grabs children off the streets and takes them and uses them for his sick needs and then kills them. Can you imagine that child or womans last hours with this man? Not all are deranged but some are fathers, brothers, sweet old grandfathers that molest little girls and boys that are much sicker and more evil than a homosexual. I have had this happen in my family also.Evil is evil in God's eyes.

I can identify with the feeling you express in your post. I will put your family members on my prayer list and I trust others will likewise be crying out to God that they might be saved, born again and be new creatures in Christ in the best of all God would make that to be in their lives.

Also it reminds me of Ryan Fullerton's wonderful sermon THE VALUE OF SINNERS, PROSTITUES AND DRUNKARDS

In John's own mind, I don't believe he meant anything terrible. I think he was just responding out of frustration, although, you do have a history with names that shouldn't be used. So.eone got on my case for using "homo" one time. I still don't really understand the issue because it's simply the first four letters of the word homosexual. Regardless of what I think, I haven't used it since because it was offensive to someone, keeping in mind Pauls inspired words on the matter.
I stumbled into a gay bar one time with a group of friends. Basically, it was a free for all; a meeting place for debauchery, twinks flirting like girls, men slow dancing, etc. Pretty gross. As for the article, I think there are a very few sodomites who are faithful to their partners.

I did not state anything about Jesus that was blasphemous. NEWS FLASH: I was quoting the blasphemous statement that homosexuals have made that Jesus was a homosexual to make a point that homosexuals are blaspheming Jesus.
