Obama to Sign Executive Order Protecting LGBT People
President Barack Obama plans to sign on Monday an executive order that protects lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workers from discrimination by federal contractors, the White House said. There is no new exemption for religious organizations.
The order bars federal contractors from discriminating against their employees based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and protects federal employees from discrimination based on their gender identity.
The move comes after the failure of the White House to have the Employment Non-Discrimination Act passed in Congress, and amid increasing calls by LGBT groups for a measure bypassing legislative approval....

This executive order will specifically affect the thousands of businesses, from major defense contractors to small shops that operate cafeterias inside federal buildings. Any contractor that does not have a specific LBGT policy will have a choice. Enact a policy or lose the contract.
Too late Mike of N.Y., if you read all of my comment you saw that's basically what I said. However, thanks for the verses. It's a good point to make.
No, JoBob, it won't apply to government entities. Now, the best thing is to do away with The Faith-Based Initiative, while this is the liberal viewpoint against it, it makes many good points and only a few bad ones for a liberal site.
"...The order bars federal contractors from discriminating against their employees based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and protects federal employees from discrimination based on their gender identity...."
Federal Contractors are private company — either for profit or non-profit — that produce goods or services under contract for the government.
These includes....States, Other Countries, and yes the small business man.
This legislation is enormous in what it can do to our society!

Paul, in Romans 3:8, thought it slanderous to damnation when he was falsely accused of saying "Let us do evil, that good may come." Jim, should you not have a problem with supporting evil, though you think good may come of it?
I'm going to toss a little cold water on my last message, one should never rejoice at an evil act (Surprised someone didn't correct me on that) But I will again point out the first article I mentioned, [Hpn] Passage of Faith BAsed Initiative Bad News for Faith Based Ministries. Yes, he probably did it with Word Perfect and didn't set it right for a pure ASCII file that's why you get "=20" at the end of each line. It is still quite readable makes excellent arguments against the demonish "Faith-Based," idea, One of the worst ones that came of Bush The Younger
Catholics organizations will find ways to keep their hands in the public till. They have never let anything get in their way to acquire money, e.g., "27. They preach only human doctrines who say that as soon as the money clinks into the money chest, the soul flies out of purgatory." except from, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Tetzel. So, the Romish Church will still find ways to extract money out of Christians.
I only support the Administration action because it would dampen the support for the FBIinitative, better if the idea was killed out right, Mike of NY.
Jim Lincoln wrote: Ah, good news! President Obama has done what he has threatened to do, and affirmed his support the LBGTs! hopefully this will kill off Faith-Based Initiative handouts the article I mentioned here by the way, is the one that was referred to in the first article that I put up.
"Ah, Good news! President Obama has done what he has threatened to do, and affirmed his support the LBGTs!"
Surely there must be some administration support of corruption and evil that you don't support, Jim. But it becomes less evident with each of your posts. Time for another compensating RCC post, don't you think?
