Scientists: Atheists might not exist
For Christian evangelist Ray Comfort, author of “God Doesn’t Believe in Atheists,” the idea that everyone at some core level has a cognizance of a higher power isn’t new.

But now a Hong Kong-based science writer has posted an article on the Science20 blog under the headline “Scientists discover that atheists might not exist, and that’s not a joke.”

He cites several reasons for his suggestion, including that scientists are becoming more and more aware “that a metaphysical outlook may be so deeply ingrained in human thought processes that it cannot be expunged.”

He suggests something that would be concerning to atheists, that “what you actually believe is not a decision you make for yourself.” ...

Nice observation,Christopher. One need only to delineate those who are "intelligent/knowledgeable" from those who are truly wise. Knowledge without proper application (wisdom) is foolishness...as the Bible states.
When you see those who profess to be wise rejecting Christ, then you just have another affirmation that what the Bible says is true.

This is what always makes me scratch my head. Here you have the brightest of the brightest, the creme de la creme of intelligence; the smartest people on the planet, and instead of leaning towards or even considering that which makes sense, they choose to believe in mere, man made fables. They say they are far too intelligent to believe in a God, the God of the bible anyway, and call anyone who does, fools. Yet, they themselves turn to nonsensical evolution, and even panspermia to solve the mysteries of our existance. I think it's really something to see and all I can figure is that deep down, they know but just can't stomach the thought of having to submit and live accordingly. I just think it's incredible that the brightest of the bright believe that all we see looking left and right, and up and down, came from a boiling puddle of goo that exploded. (basically).

No matter how an "atheist" defines what he believes, one cannot hold to an idea of there being no God unless they know everything. And there are many who will make exactly such a claim- that there is no God. It's interesting how such highly educated people (many "atheists") can draw such very foolish conclusions.Of course, that is a Biblical concept. The fool has said in their heart that there is no God.

SC are trying to define a liberal? No, atheism is just a man-centered religion and one that wants to deny the undeniable God, through such things as Evolution, q.v., Evolution Is Religion--Not Science.

You will be surprised how many atheists are out there, even among those who call themselves Christian,

Jacob W. Kapp wrote:

It has nothing at all to do with belief. Indeed it accepts the affirmations of theism. It has reference wholly to the mode of life. It is to live as though there was no God....

” Vittachi writes. “It further suggests that the difference between the atheist and the non-atheist viewpoint is much smaller than probably either side perceives.
This is quite an illogical conclusion by Vittachi unless he means so-called "atheist". One would have to be omniscient to make such a claim. An atheist could only exist insofar as they
were all knowing. And they are not so there are only agnostics and believers.

now Strat, many have been victims. that's the rub. truth in love. you know, both put together. not one or the other. And those who have had tragedy in their life need the comfort of the Holy Spirit to bring healing so that their joy may be restored.
That's not what I mean, the bible says that we are born sinners, tradgedy comes from living in a fallen world with other sinners and sometimes their sin affects us and vice versa.

The victim theology I am talking about suggest that a person's sin is not their fault because they are in a sense a victim of being a sinner and can't help it,does the bible say that ? or does it say that sin is a willful rejection of God's laws ? does a person repent of what they feel guilty and responsible for ? or do they repent of what they feel has been thrust upon them that they had no control over ?.....that is what I mean by victim theology.

What is the difference between me apoligizing to you for accidently spilling a drink on you,and me repenting of deliberately stealing from you, lying to you or harming you in some way with full intent of doing so ?

"atheism may be psychologically impossible"

what an interesting thought.

after a century of "man is only chemical processes" being pounded into medical schools and elementary schools, people still instinctively know life is more than that.

I have always stated that atheists know that God exists but that they don't wish to be under God's authority but wish to be their own gods.
