'Gay' Stance Threatens Christian College's Accreditation

The region’s higher education accrediting agency will review whether its standards are being violated by Gordon College after the Christian school’s public opposition to hiring protections for gays and lesbians shed light on its longstanding policies prohibiting gay activities among students, faculty, and staff.

While it is not unusual for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges’ Commission on Institutions of Higher Education to review schools in light of news reports and other “unsolicited information,” the body has never dealt with a case involving potential sexual orientation-related discrimination, said the commission’s director, Barbara E. Brittingham

“There’s considerable publicity about the whole issue, and it’s been getting a lot of attention,” Brittingham said in a phone interview Friday. “It’s a matter of looking at the information we have and deciding if the institution is ...

It is not just Sodomite leaders who are lying to them but like you have said leaders today's churches who overemphasize the love of God without explain how that love is an undeserved sacrifical love of such magnitude in the shed blood of Christ, in the Cross, in His resurrection that in coming to know Him, He will utterly change their lives

So if you are willing let me recommend once again THE FURY OF GOD by Jeremy Lundmark who I recently had the priviledge of INTERVIEWING and in rereading his book a second time know we could have literally talked for hours of the wonderful depth he goes into on balancing out God's anger against all sin and His mercy for us

Thanks for the detailed explanation, Nat I understand your thoughts. I would agree that on some level, many are in fact hurting inside. I have seen the statistics on abused children turning to the same sex as the result so I totally understand. Others, I believe, are without excuse (if I can use that word), being deviant on a deeper level with no "excuse" but dark, wicked, unnatural desire.

I shudder when imagining how many souls hell welcomes each day. I.just can't comprehend crossing over to learn that I am condemned for all eternity to suffer the horrors and never ending torments that I will be face with. No turning back, no second chances, no forgiveness, no light at the end of the tunnel. All the more reason to never give up on anyone because I would never wish this outcome upon an

We have to be more compassionate in our approach knowing what had happened was a big cause for it in the firstplace. They are deceived souls who need to be shown the light of truth with love. Truth without love is as useless as love with no truth.
We need to CARE about the lost. And tell them of their destructive lifestyle.
Nat, I appreciate your loving and compassionate concern for the lost. As one said, we need to be winsome to win some.

However, if you take a walk round a city like, say, Sodom, and interview all the folks there, you may find ample grounds for psychologically accepting that seeing as all the children of that place grew up surrounded by sodomy, thinking it was okay, and became sodomites on account of it, thus you might say there were mitigating circumstances, because their bent was caused by their circumstances.

But surely the Lord does not see it like that. He sees man born with a sinful nature through Adam, and the man will sin all his life without the sovereign grace of God preventing it. And the man will be held accountable for his own sins, no matter who he is.

Make sense? That is why they get so mad when you tell them that Gay is wrong.
I never use the word "gay" when witnessing, but sodomy, and sodomites. These unnatural things are an abomination to God, and I tell folks that, if it comes up in conversation. If I get the chance, I will relate the stories of Sodom and Gomorra and the cities of the plain, who suffered the severe wrath of God against such abominations.

I believe this is very important when dealing with souls, to give the Holy Spirit the opportunity to convict them of sin, by explaining what sin is. One of the most wonderful things I ever read was in Pilgrim's Progress, when "Christian" set out from his house, with a book under his arm, muttering, "The wages of sin is death, the wages of sin is death." He was fleeing from the City of Destruction, looking for a better way, even not knowing where to look. Until he met the one called EVANGELIST, who pointed him to yonder light.

The whole world is guilty before God, and desperately need to be informed of this, rather than be patted on the head and told that it was their upbringing or deprivation. The first step into the kingdom of God is repentance, and being truly sorry for sin.

Make sense? That is why they get so mad when you tell them that Gay is wrong. Coz they have believed the lie that they are born Gay and since it becomes the essence of who they are you are attacking them on a very very personal level. It is so vitally important to have living heterosexual parents. I think half the time we don't realise how blessed we are. This issue in society is actually just a direct result of broken down society and it will continue to break until people stand up and stay fighting for their marriages and families.
Satan is on a war path and it's rocked society to its core. .. literally

Hi Chris! I recently listened to a sermon regarding homosexual marriage. . And chip ingram made some crucial points regarding homosexuality being a sign of broken society which is a sign of broken families and marriages. There is a high percentage of homosexuals who have been abused either physically, sexually or emotionally. Yes not all have been abused but if you look at society and how much is degraded plus with the rise of broken families and increased number of abuse going on is no surprise. I work as a nurse and Icome across all sorts of people. You see they aren't born Gay. There have been studies that have proved that and even Gay scientists agree with that statement. But they truly believe that is who they are that is how Satan has deceived them. They are told that's is the essence of who they are as a human being and they believe it with all their heart because it's easier than to face the reason for their sexual deviation which is generally abuse. An absent father, or a disengaged father or overbearing mother can also cause massive disruptions is the psychological development of a child. And it is not always abuse but just a dad who doesn't care or is absent. Some kids turn to drugs and alcohol in response and some kids experience attraction to the same sex. Does that

A Christian collage would not employ someone openly living in sin out of marriage.
They would not employ someone who is living in open adultery.
They should not employ a openly gay person
As for a openly gay Christian there is no such thing. An open gay can not teach one to learn the word of God while they have not be tourght by the spirit and born again themself

Hi Nat, llet me start by saying that I like you so don't take this question as my looking to argue. I grew up in Chicago, and having lived in the heart of several major citys, I have been all around homosexuals, know, and have known many homosexuals. I understand the being deceived by Satan part, but what do you mean when you say they are hurting inside? Thanks.

Private Christian Colleges should not be dictated to by the state on anything since it is a private school and not a state school. In fact private grade schools and high schools should not be dictated to by the state on anything either.

These so called homosexual Christians are people who are hurting inside. They are broken. And only God can fix them. But they need to allow God to heal and change them to truly find peace. Not to push their political agenda of discrimination. Oh how Satan had deceived them. They truly believe they're right. We should be praying for all these broken and hurting people

"The clear message is that homosexuals are not worthy of employment, or even recognition of their existence, in the Gordon community,” Alexander wrote in a statement to the Globe this week. “It is a slap in the face of every gay and lesbian person, particularly every gay and lesbian Christian, that says you are somehow less of a human being, you do not belong in the embrace of God’s merciful arms.”

Love the wordplay but a sodomite christian is a delusion.

Quote

“I would love to see Gordon more fully embrace diversity,” said Campbell. “I think it can hold to its Christian roots while still having a neutral standpoint on homosexual activity and behavior.”

God is not of the neutral opinion with regards to sodomy which he made quite clear, should not this christian college be the same?

Gordon College, the writing is on the wall. Conform and convert. Your accreditation is at stake.

Now onto the next "christian based" business/organization for assimilation.
