Pope Francis to visit evangelical pastor from Buenos Aires
The Vatican announced earlier today that Pope Francis has decided to pay a private visit to an evangelical pastor who is a close friend from his time in Buenos Aires, but currently lives in Italy, reports Catholic News Agency.
On the morning of July 26, a Saturday, the Roman Pontiff will travel to the province of Caserta in the Campania region of Italy for a casual visit with pastor Giovanni Traettino.
The idea of making the visit to pastor Traettino’s church of the Reconciliation in Caserta originally sprang from an encounter Pope Francis had with a group of evangelical pastors in the Vatican last month, during which the pontiff expressed his desire to visit the pastor’s church....
At least he says what he has to say without all of those ugly faces...better to be honest and upfront than to be a deceived hater. btw hate is the same as murder for those of you who can't keep their tongues in their mouths. If God wanted us to look at your tongue,He would have put it on the outside of your face. It's about as ugly as the spirit that is behind it.
I didnt say anything hateful, I simply asked why every every move he makes is news. It doesnt even have anything to do with him being catholic, Id be just as annoyed if he was protestant. Besides, your one to talk about being hateful, considering your usual rant about those you disagree with or look down upon being "mentally deranged", "psychotic". "demon possessed", "whores", etc.

What about spreading heresy???
RCC Catechism:- "“Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture, then, are bound closely together and communicate one with the other.” Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) Para 80
And [Holy] Tradition transmits in its entirety the Word of God which has been entrusted to the apostles by Christ the Lord and the Holy Spirit. CCC Para 81
“As a result the [Roman Catholic] Church...does not derive her certainty about all revealed truths from the holy Scriptures alone. Both Scripture and Tradition must be accepted and honored with equal sentiments of devotion and reverence.” CCC Para 82
“The Supreme Pontiff, in virtue of his office, possesses infallible teaching authority when, as supreme pastor and teacher of all the faithful...he proclaims with a definitive act that a doctrine of faith or morals is to be held as such.” CCC Para 891" (the-highway.com)
GSTexas, he is the most famous nominal Christian around. Also, one of the most powerful. So,we should keep the devil's advocate in our view all the time. If he becomes a Christian, John, you will of course know it, because like all who do, they Come Out Of The Catholic Church

We must be diligent to study it, to 'cut it straight' and to handle it accurately as we are being held responsible to understand, and accountable to obey it. To deny the clarity of the Word of God is nothing more than a smokescreen to mask an unwillingness to submit to its authority.
God never tells the churches to set aside their differences and all get along. He never tells us to sort through the Scriptures and determine what are the 'majors' and what are the 'minors.' He never intends His Word to be edited nor adapted to the surrounding culture. He never makes allowances for each church, nor each individual, to have their own differing interpretations.
The people of God will acknowledge the Word of God for what it is and what it says. With this recognition is the understanding that in His Word He calls for the church to conduct itself in an orderly and proper manner when it assembles together, acknowledging His Word as the authority and standard by which it aligns itself....
