Doug Phillips leaves the church he founded

In a rare public statement regarding former Vision Forum Ministries president Doug Phillips, the leaders of Boerne Christian Assembly (BCA) announced Phillips had joined another church without receiving a letter of transfer from BCA. Millions of Americans change churches without such a letter, but Phillips previously had emphasized the importance of following church procedures. The July 6 church statement called the development “a matter of great concern” to the BCA.

Phillips is also a founder and former elder of BCA—an independent, Baptist congregation north of San Antonio. (Phillips resigned as an elder in January 2013.) During his ministry, he emphasized the importance of accountability and submission to church leaders. He remained a member of BCA after he publicly confessed his sin and acknowledged he “behaved without proper accountability.” On Monday, the church announced Phillips’ departure: ...

Thanks Dorcas. I have always prayed that traumatic events in a persons life would be the trigger to get them low enough, weary enough, and finally open enough for them to hear.

Just a quick post to thank you all for your prayers.
Please upon remembrance, continue them if the Lord so directs.
Pray the Lord would use this event to turn him and his parents to Himself.
Physically he is well....emotionally he is in shock.
Thank you once again...I am so humbled by your kindness and am so grateful to have you as my brothers and sisters in Christ.
A debtor to Mercy alone,
Dorcas.

Thanks. John, completely aside, because I haven't read the comments, so just speaking very generally, I know many who hold to the "Kill 'em all, and let God sort it out" mentality. Entire groups are held responsible and hated for the actions of a few. A white kills a black, and all whites are hated. A black group is racist, and all blacks are racist. The North Korean government and militia tortures, maims, and murders, so nuke an entire nation. Same goes for gaza and Palestine. Not everybody wants war, not everybody hates, and not everyone believes the propaganda. There are Palastinians who want peace, don't condone the fighting, and are not teaching their children the way of hatred and violence. The rest have been poisoned by lies about Isreal being the violent aggressor who always attacks peaceful Palestine without provocation. Israel isn't innocent, but all of the lies perpetrated by a terrorist governing body is why the rockets fly. No matter what though, I would never advocate wiping out entire nations for the sins of the few. I would never hate a people because they have some bad ones in the group, and I don't believe that intentional collateral damage is ever acceptable.

Trust me Christpher, it was usual toxic maligning of God' s people by SteveR in violation of SA policy and demonstrstion of his true nature because I John 4:20 says a man that loves God and hates his brother is a liar. May God grant him repentance to genuine saving faith before it is everlastingly too late.

Thank you for those who the Lord leads in this matter.

Wow! What a wonderful matter to be praying about. I have to think God knows there is so very much that He must needs do to bring your grandchild to genuine conversion, to being truly born again of the Holy Spirit, to knowing the Truth personally for himself in good conscience before God and not just conforming to the religious desires of others, considering all the influences of the world and those professing to be Christians that have pushed him this way and that in the life he has.

It will indeed be a great joy to hear his testimony of all that God does to make real the Truth of the Lord Jesus Christ in his life, bringing him under the genuine conviction of the Holy Spirit and giving him the desire to be saved from his sins and belong to the Savior and to love Him and serve Him who died and rose again for him and how God brought him to saving faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

It continues be a joy to pray for him

Steve, I'm not sure what sort of post would warrant a deletion due to its offensiveness, considering the request Dorcas made. I believe that something like this supercedes any rules, and should really be an exception to any rules because it's more important than than the discussion of any headline.
Can you re-word the comment because I'm really curious to read what a born again Christian could say that would have been considered so offensive that it had to be deleted.
It was not directed to Dorcas, but John Uk

Earlier in the day, John UK said he believes civilians in Gaza deserved their fate. While I disagree that the children in gaza deserve to be blown into pieces by IDF bombs, those children are suffering for bad choices that their parents make. In my post I suggested that John UK encourages 'toxic' choices, choices that result in negative outcomes to people related to this board

Unprobitable Servant,
I did correct my statement and may it be noted that you can't delete something once it's been posted. Only SA can do that. I said in my post right after that we shouldn't accuse her either because this is only pre trial gosip, unproven by the blaze of truth. I was not meaning to accuse her in my former post, but just point out something I had found rather odd.
P.O.T., I am unsure of how you access the site and by what means you make comments. You can indeed from a computer choose to edit your comments, at which time you can change its content or choose to delete it. There is a time window on that (someone smarter than I might could tell you how long that is) but it can be done. You would click on edit my comment. I do realize that some access (like a smart phone) do not allow for such activity. Thanks
