China thinks it can defeat America in battle

The bad news first. The People's Republic of China now believes it can successfully prevent the United States from intervening in the event of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan or some other military assault by Beijing.

Now the good news. China is wrong — and for one major reason. It apparently disregards the decisive power of America's nuclear-powered submarines.

Moreover, for economic and demographic reasons Beijing has a narrow historical window in which to use its military to alter the world's power structure. If China doesn't make a major military move in the next couple decades, it probably never will.

The U.S. Navy's submarines — the unsung main defenders of the current world order — must hold the line against China for another 20 years. After that, America can declare a sort of quiet victory in the increasingly chilly Cold War with China. ...

How do you know, do you work for Electric Boat or the Navy? And even if true, so what? Unless we get into a long-term attrition war, requiring replacements, it wouldn't make any practical difference.

Historical note: the Kuomintang crushed an amphibious invasion of the island of Kinmen by the PLA in 1949, using obsolete American light tanks. Of course, a lot has changed since then.

Nuclear submarines are very very expensive.

Here in the UK we are reducing the size of our submarine force - Because Britain is Broke and deep in debt.

America is therefore on its own.
But will America continue to have the funds to maintain world stability by economic power??

the petrodollar reign has ended. people are going to want others to pay up. nations are quietly asking for their gold back and some not getting it. and China's one child policies has created a generation of mostly men. its quite the arrangement. then putin is the background calling us the great satan for trying to force the rainbow coalition on the world. whatever wores the western globalists try to provoke (as they lose their economic leverage), it will not be to the advantage of those forced to fight in them.

Only the less educated people who watch too much CCTV believe PROC can defeat the US's seventh fleet. But then again, God is in charge and will look after the true Christians in China, that is what I believe.

Our President has opened us up for a third World War. Now every kid on the block thinks they're better than us, and with a week leader like Obama, there is nothing holding them back from destroying our country economicaly and through war. READ GAMEPLAN BY KEVIN FREEMAN! He's a Christian and if you want the truth about our economic situation Game Plan is the book to read. It's available everywhere books are available. Five stars!

China could save itself from conjecture and resources. As far as that goes, all nations could; this country has done a very adequate job of undermining and defeating itself. All any one has to do now, is to just watch america continue to do what it has been doing.
