Q: They’re going to penalize me for keeping my Doctor? A: Yes.

Directly undercutting President Obama’s oft-repeated promise – “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” – a health exchange navigator in Colorado told a woman with a cancelled health plan she’ll pay more in monthly premiums to continue seeing her long-time physician. At least $140 more a month – or $1,680 a year.

Rebecca Ryan of Fort Collins recorded the 24 minute phone call with a heath exchange phone representative, in which Ryan directly asked if she was being “penalized” for wanting to keep her doctor.

“Yes,” the navigator responded, without qualification. ...

This would be an unusual case, if it were true, and I have my doubts. Newest Health Insurance Customers Are Generally Happy

You might be right, Jim. The attitude is the same: "We'll slice it for you, we know better than you how it should be sliced. And it will lower the price of bread. But if you like your Wonder Bread unsliced, you can keep your Wonder Bread unsliced. Period."

Not sure why I could not repost on this article yesterday, but finally got it in under different moniker. As I said, nothing personal, but it was not hard to disprove the assertion that you got your healthcare for free.

Jim, did you read the article you posted from the liberal source daily kos?

They said your insurance was dropped by your insurance provider not by Obamacare. Really, and the reason the insurance provider dropped the plan was due to a law known as...drumroll please...Obamacare. They didn't just decide to stop the coverage for no apparent reason. You might remember the days when 55 was the law of the land. There was no legislation passed mandating the lower speed. Speed limits are set by states. HOWEVER, the federal government said you can leave your speed limit higher but then you lose millions in federal highway funding. (most would call that blackmail) So, the feds could say, we didn't lower your speed limit your state did, but without the threat of monetary loss most states would not have gone along. So, yes it was a drop of policy by the insurance companies but only as a direct result of the passage (by ONLY democrats) of Obamacare. The left can't even put up good contour arguments. Not looking good for November.

The NHS was born out of a long-held ideal that good healthcare should be available to all, regardless of wealth, a principle that remains at its core. With the exception of some charges, such as prescriptions and optical and dental services, ****the NHS remains free at the point of use for anyone***** who is resident in the UK. That is currently more than 63.2m people. It covers everything from antenatal screening and routine treatments for long-term conditions, to transplants, emergency treatment, and end-of-life care." (NHS)
"Publicly funded" by YOUR tax dollars (per recent report 76% of its revenue) Also, paid by YOU directly or indirectly in the exceedingly high gas prices in the UK. I don't know if MP's pay taxes but it would be a miniscule amount compared to what the general public PAYS. It is NOT free, YOU pay for it.

Thank you Archie G.

Obamacare, i.e., Romneycare, i.e., Republicancare, is the greatest thing since sliced bread. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/09/30/five-reasons-americans-already-love-obamacare-plus-one-reason-why-theyre-gonna/ (Five reasons Americans already love ObamaCare — plus one reason why they’re gonna love it even more, soon)

Also UPS, I put up a comment about death panels on the VA thread from Snopes which you might find acceptable. This Colorado outfit apparently puts out more malarky than most liberal sources, e.g., KOS, http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/09/29/1241796/-Those-Obamacare-myths-that-just-won-t-die.

How can this be, Peter? The president said, and I quote, "We will keep this promise to the American people. If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period." The president wouldn't lie, would he?

As you point out often, we should consider the source. Since Media Matters is funded by George Soros, why should anything it says be believed?

And also their is a lot of nonsense going around about obfuscate a deservedly so. Healthcare is ban issue for humanity but making people pay higher and change when they dont want to is bad. I dont like the lies and deceiving political game both parties play. I feel when we get a Republican President we'll have to fix this problem.

Obamacare (this article is even more proof that calling it affordable care is an oxymoron) to the rescue. Looks like Alan Grayson describe ACA perfectly, just got his political parties mixed up.
