PCA Pastor’s Son Killed in Shooting in Norfolk, VA
On Friday, May 30, 2014, 17-year-old Mark Rodriguez was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting. Mark is the son of Rev. Carlos Rodriquez and his wife, Leigh Ellen, pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach, VA.

According to another article, he was just driving home from a grad party and was the victim of a random shooting

I can't imagine what it's like to lose a child. My first thought was that he was a gang banger and a rival gang took him out, but then I read the poem and assume he was born again. Maybe a random thrill kill, or a new member getting his colors.
