Iraq militants 'turning back clock' in captured Mosul

In the two weeks since it was seized by Sunni militants, some residents of the northern Iraq city of Mosul feel the clock has been turned back hundreds of years.

The militants, led by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) jihadist group, have begun imposing an extreme interpretation of Islamic law in the days since they took the city, residents reached by telephone told AFP.

"These militants will return us and our country hundreds of years backwards, and their laws are the opposite of the laws of human rights and international laws," said Umm Mohammed, a 35-year-old teacher. ...

Ok, Bush should have been impeached for not pounding IS, which didn't exist until 2013, but whatever your independent conclusions need, I guess. So it's ok to pound the barbarian cutthroats of IS but not the barbarian cutthroats of Saddam Hussein and co. Interesting that both are Sunni, and the fight for power is the same. The big difference then in terms of the rightness of it must be who was our president during the time of which barbarians, yes?

Modern liberalism is satanic,it opposes the morality of Christianity and accepts or at least does not question the brute force morality of Islam,if Islam is judgment on anyone it is the liberals who are hated by Muslims who use them and their decadence as the reason they hate the West so much.....they call us the great Satan for a reason,that reason is liberalism.

I can't help but feel that Islam has become a judgement on the nations for rejecting God. When Israel went astray, God let their enemies carry them away captive to Assyria and Babylon. Today Islam is dominating our culture because the nations are turning their backs on God.

"If my people which are called by My name shall humble themselves and pray"...

At some point the people of Iraq will have to want to do more than eat,sleep poop and breed,freedom and liberty require more than simply existing and being content to do so,Trees are content to exist as are Fish and Mosquitos....people should be different and want a little more.

It won't matter what anyone does to try and help these people,as soon as they are left to themselves its right back to the 7th century.

And this is exactly what will happen to Afghanistan when the Americans and Brits move out and the Taliban move back in.

Thus it was a complete waste of time and lives.
