US Protestant Churches Implement Giving Campaign Annually to Encourage Members to Tithe Regularly
Fellowship Church is among numerous U.S. congregations that launch a 90-Day Challenge every year to encourage members who have not tithed regularly for the past six months or who do not tithe at all to contribute 10 percent of their income to their local church.
A Google search of "90 day challenge" reveals several U.S. congregations' terms and conditions for the tithing campaign, many of them similar and all of them guaranteeing a 100 percent refund for unsatisfied participants who do not experience God's faithfulness....
Gil Rugh said or, wrote: From the historical account the superiority of Melchizedek's priesthood is established as he blessed Abraham who paid him a tithe. Tithes ultimately were given to God through His appointed representative which was Melchizedek. Therefore making application, between God and the highly esteemed Levitical priesthood still in the loins of Abraham was Melchizedek who prefigured Jesus Christ who is the ultimate Mediator between God and man.
This is just another glaring example of our times.
Let this be a WARNING and a CALL to all who truly. Pursue/Follow Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
WARNING: this is a result of a weak and ineffectual church. I/We have spent to much time on our selfs and not enough time with Christ and the Father on our knees. Thus the current downward spiral were in!
CALL: Let's humble ourselves before our God and Savior, REPENT, REPENT, REPENT every one of us! Cry out to God for Holy REVIVAL!

In a way I believe the prosperity Gospel.
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
GOD gives his people extreme wealth, wealth that a vain sinful world cant understand, wealth like the fruits of the SPIRIT found in Galatians 5. If you told your friend you had a huge inheritance, he expects you have money because he desires money. If you offered to share it, he will say yes until he finds out you are to be rich in mercy. He doesnt value mercy, love of GODs people, or the Law of Moses. He desires vanity. The same is true with this Church, the pastor is teaching his people to desire the things of the world, not of GOD. I am so thankful that I received what my FATHER gave me, and not the vain gifts I would have surely asked for if beguiled by the pastor of this Church.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Im not sure the first two on this thread read the article, its not a simple exhortation for tithing that all Churches do. btw-There is plenty of Biblical support to raise money for the Saints and the needy, and if you dont know this please consult the Scriptures. What makes this Church different, the pastor is PROMISING satisfaction of divine blessing or 100% of your money back?! The article proclaims that the pastor is asking his congregation to put GOD to the 'test!!.' Its the prosperity Gospel with a guarantee of satisfaction.
Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
