Transgendered priest to give sermon at Washington National Cathedral

The Washington National Cathedral is welcoming the first openly transgendered Episcopal priest to its altar this month.

The Rev. Cameron Partridge, a transgendered man, is set to give the June 22 sermon at the cathedral, a fixture in the D.C. skyline and one of the nation’s most well-known houses of worship.

Dean of the cathedral, the Rev. Gary Hall, said in a statement that he hopes Mr. Partridge’s presence would send a message of support for the transgender community.

Nowhere in those passages from the Bible is church attendance/membership in any church including an Evangelical Protestant Church mentioned as being required for salvation and entering Heaven upon ones demise. And thus Jesus will not look at the church that one attended in deciding who enters Heaven. Jesus will only look at who had embraced Him as their Savior and trusted in Him alone for salvation.

To embrace Christ is to love Christ. To love Christ is to do all He commands which includes having nothing to do with those who work against Him by adding to, taking away from, and/or otherwise corrupting His Word with outside rules, regulatuons, and revelations, which in many cases, conflict with the very Word they claim to hold so dearly.

I am choosing not to leave the Catholic Church because it is not required for salvation and entering Heaven that I leave the Catholic Church and unite with an Evangelical Protestant Church. Church attendance/membership in any church including an Evangelical Protestant Church is not reequired for salvation and entering Heaven upon ones demise as the Bible does not mention that church attendance/membership in any church is required for salvation and entering Heaven upon ones demise. I wonder what source or text he will use for his sermon, "The latest in fashion at Prada or Saks Fifth Avenue". This is the nonsense that has invaded what calls itself the church.

My first answer had to do with the Episcopal Church, and all the heretical things that they practice, this one has to to do with transgender primarily and homosexuality, secondarily, I believe that this is a very good answer on transgender (pseudo) problems, q.v., "What is a Biblical View of Transgendered People and Hermaphrodites?, I don't know much about the outfit, but this answer seems to be quite good.

Oh, John Y., a sermon just for you Ephesians 1:15-23. Who would think something that was preached, before you were a teenager?, would be so applicable to one such as yourself. Take it to heart.

""We at Washington National Cathedral are striving to send a message of love and affirmation, especially to LGBT youth who suffer daily because of their gender identity or sexual orientation""

By stating this kind of duplicity and evil deceit the Episcopalian church is contradicting and distorting the Bible, and replacing God with their idolatrous human philosophies. Thus do they blaspheme God.

Satan wants to replace the Bible with lies deceit and the mitigaion of sins, he wants sin to become more acceptable to mankind. He wants mankind to join him in hell.

2Cor 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

John Yurich, please! You said,
"The Episcopal Church is really sinking into the abyss rapidly... At least the Catholic Church is against homosexuality."

Really? Give me a break! Where's the outcry over molestation of young boys that has been going on since the beginning of Catholisism? Beside that, it would behoove you to do a study on this parable from Jesus concerning PRIDE!

Luke 18:9-14 (KJB) And he spake this parable unto certain which TRUSTED IN THEMSELVES THAT THEY WERE RIGHTEOUS, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, GOD, I THANK THEE, THAT I AM NOT AS OTHER MEN ARE, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Please be more careful with your words; you might just be condemning yourself.

If one is going to say anything about these people why not repeat what the bible says about them, only in our time is it considered judgmental or self righteous to simply say what the bible says,Jesus quoted scripture to respond to Satan so why should it be any different for us in response to the wickedness in today's world...minus all of the emotionalism, which is the new religion.

Satan demonstrating again that he has taken over in the Episcopalian/Anglican churches. He is getting quite arrogant with his displays in the world of Sodom and Gomorrah taking over in the nations from politicians all the way to the school children Satan is winning this battle.

As for Satan's followers they are so blind and ignorant of the truth that it is pathetic to watch them carry out all these unnatural abnormal acts, behaviour and lifestyle.

If these are not the "very" end times then I can't even begin to imagine how much worse it can get. But of course it will get worse. Bible laws and teachings are even being thrown out by what passes itself off as church today, and people are stupid enough to accept it. The Episcopalian/Anglican religious conglomeration can be seen today as the most ridiculous false church in history. Liberalism is definitely a disease causing toxic, pernicious and insidious harm to society and the nations.

Come Lord Jesus, Come soon.

I know that any and all, no matter who they are, or what they do, need our prayers. That being said, transexuals, and especially the transgendered really freak me out. Always do and always have. There's something about them that's so wrong, and so unnatural, and I'm not just talking about men and women having the opposite parts and dressing the part with hair and makeup, but rather, something very dark and sinister. I get a very sickening feeling whenever I see or am around them and am assuming that I am feeling just a small fraction of the dirty, disgusting, hopeless, miserable world that Satan controls along with the disgusting, dirty, sickening feelings that one might feel if given the mind of demons for a split second. I know this seems strong, and I do feel and pray for the people, but something about these particular unnatural sins sends chills up my spine.
