Official: Bergdahl Says He Was Tortured and Held in a Cage by Taliban
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has told people treating him at a U.S. military medical facility in Germany that he was tortured, beaten and held in a cage by his Taliban captors in Afghanistan after he tried to escape, a senior U.S. official said Sunday.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss what Bergdahl has revealed about the conditions of his captivity.
The official said it was difficult to verify the accounts Bergdahl has given since his release a week ago....
Thanks Nat. Let me add that no matter what I might say about any specific person or group at times, I never let my anger, disdain, or rage keep me frim praying for them. No matter who they are or what they do, some may feel different, but I wouldnt wish the eternal suffering that so many are facing on anyone.
I understand why you would say that Chris. It is difficult to hear of torture of children and women and men and not to get very angry. It is Satan's doing and they have become his vessels to find pleasure in the hurting of the innocent. It takes God's merciful grace to open upthe eyes of sinful men. .. Even such as I to bring them to salvation. Apostle Paul used to be just as bad in his zealousness. He even called himself the chief of all sinners and it took God's grace for him to see that. We must pray God opens their eyes for they think they are serving God with such deeds. May God grant even the evilest of them repentance and salvation.
Hi Nat, sorry if I offended you. I gave it some thought and would probably say it again if I.could do it without offending anyone. You see, to me, anyone filled with such hatred, anyone who is sworn to and does murder men, women, and children without predjudice, anyone who finds joy in torturing and maiming with pure pleasure, and anyone who seems to be void of any sort of feeling, conscience, empathy, or the smallest glimmer of love and compassion is no different than a primal animal in my book. This is my explanation and feeling on the matter which I would need to be convinced otherwise of, but for your sake, I won't use the reference again.
I think we have no right to call any human an animal as we are made in the image of God. No matter their religious disposition. You have to understand that we are all evil in nature and it is the grace of God that opens our eyes to our sin.

But Steve don't you have a common bond with them too? After all your Pope prays with these people.
Well Jimmi, Those 'animals,' as Chris called them, are your people, or didnt you know that? Your dispensational heresies demand you become spiritual allies with them, & that Palestine be repopulated by the physical offspring of Israelites. Well, Pashtuns are Israelites. Pashtuns trace their heritage to the tribe of Benjamin, they are their descendents still in exile. Their claim is stronger than anyone else you pray for, so embrace your people
Pentagon and Army officials have looked at the allegations but "right now there is no evidence to back that up," an anonymous U.S. official told CNN
One thing that really makes me think is his platoon mates making the accusations. You'd be hard pressed to find closer comroderys than the bond of military brothers who would normally stick together no matter what, so this gives me pause.
I have no doubt that he was tortured, held in a cage, etc, but...he may have asked fkr, and deserved it if the storys are true. He tried to fly the coop, and like Mr OBama thinking they are our friends, they turned on him. They are murderous, primal animals who lack love, compassion, or any sort of empathy, and if the story is true, he deserved it.
