‘Not a Mention of God’: This Is What a ‘Secular Invocation’ Looks Like
In the wake of a recent U.S. Supreme Court case affirming sectarian prayers at a New York town’s board meetings, atheists and humanists are ramping up their efforts to ensure that secular invocations are also uttered at government meetings across the nation.

One such example unfolded Monday night in front of the Wheaton City Council in Wheaton, Illinois. A man named Ted Utchen delivered a secular invocation in an effort to “reflect the fact that we are now a diverse community” comprised of people of different faiths – and of no faith at all, he said.

The message, devoid of mentions of a higher power, focused on “happiness and joy,” while encouraging those in attendance not to cause pain to others, according to an account and video published by Friendly Atheist blogger Hemant Mehta. ...

Things to keep in mind in light of the article and the human condition since the fall....

Psalm 14:1 "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good ."

No of course I don't want the Hail Holy Queen prayer at government meetings. I don't pray the Hail Holy Queen prayer. I don't pray any prayer pertaining to the Virgin Mary and the Saints. I only pray the first half of the Hail Mary prayer because I consider the first half of the Hail Mary prayer to be scriptural since it comes directly from the Gospel of Saint Luke. I don't pray the second half of the Hail Mary prayer because the second half doesn't come from the Bible and thus is unscriptural.

Yes,

Psalm 14:1 (For the choir director. A Psalm of David.) The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.---NASB. However, I would suggest that you read Mr. Thornside's comments. Perhaps though John you want thsi prayer at government meetings? Hail Holy Queen

Naturally those who do not know God will not pray. In fact if they do not know God they cannot pray as God does not listen to the reprobate.

Atheist, humanists and the secular fraternity do not pray and do not know God. God has not regenerated them.

Liberals, Roman Catholics, JW's and Muslims will pray but God also will not listen to them because of their idolatry and blasphemy.

Prayer in the name of Jesus and in the Spirit is the prayers which God hears and responds to. This prayer is a gift of God.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
