Santa Barbara Shooter Says He 'Will Be a God'

The suspect who killed six people and injured 13 others near the University of California, Santa Barbara Friday night was identified as a 22-year-old mentally disturbed man, Elliot Rodger, who videotaped his desire to "slaughter" women for rejecting him. A church in the area has offered assistance to anyone who needs prayers or counselling.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown told reporters Saturday evening that the suspect was wounded by officers before he seemingly "took his own life."

Rodger, whose father was the assistant director for one of the "Hunger Games" films, apparently stabbed three males to death within his residence before going on a shooting spree, Brown said. The suspect killed two female students and a male student, identified as Christopher Michael-Martinez. ...

Gross over simplification based on pure emotion and little if any facts, many thousands of innocent die by the sword all the time....somebody else's when they are unarmed and unprotected.

To live by the sword means to use violence at all times as a means of solving problems,it is not the same as people protecting their families and their loved ones frm those who would brutalize and kill them.

believing in God, means talking to someone else you cannot see -- which is a form of psychosis, you see, Christianity is a mental disorder. But homosexuality is a right. Sounds like a recipe for success.

this story confirms for me the demonic reality behind much of the Hollywood and music industry. of course this is lost on most americans who are so "evolution" minded they think the world is all about the five senses. I believe the German church went through this after the enlightenment, liberalism and diminishing of anything supernatural, meanwhile Hitler built an occultic grid around them. so we have famous pastors who do not correct the body issues, or the spiritual, and then put their kids on psychotropic drugs, and self help sessions (Carl Jung was occultic, but that doesn't stop Christians from using personality tests and things that came from his philosophies)...

of course this young man bears responsibility, but the west is creating such an environment (ie hunger games) in which turning on one another is an acceptable way of bringing in the new age. the value of human life not there, the dabbling in such things is an opening of Pandora's box on society. the more we surveill and control the more we feed the paranoid, self absorbed culture.

you don't know this because you sit in insular bubbles judging everyone and never learning, but that kid was a part of a growing group of women haters who have their own forums and boards and talk about their "right" to rufie and rape and torture our daughters because they are untreated psycopaths they are called the "Red Pill" guys they frequent 4chan they make these plans to destroy and serial m urder our children and you people would much rather sit on your high horses and debate nonsense then root out this evil and destroy its strongholds ... this is how out of touch with reality you are ...
There have always been woman haters and man haters, the man haters currently have the most social and political power, they have their own forums and talk about their right to kill unborn children, how men are inferior, etc, etc.

How would you suggest we root out this evil and its strongholds, forbid any man to look a woman in the eye or perhaps pass on the other side of the street or walk three paces behind them.

This individuals problem was that the world did not share the passionate love he had for himself, not woman hating, his obsession with himself caused him to hate anyone who did not give him what he wanted,he killed men to.

Says the person who wastes her life playing satanic video games, and posting self righteous tripe. You post vile comments about others that have to be censored, yet squawk about how others sit on their high horse and are hateful.

You are the quitessential hypocrite.

The gun got up and made this poor rejected kid commit this act. Lets blame the gun. Hogwash. This kid had a mental record and should have never been able to enter a gun shop nevertheless walk out with a gun. The debate is stale. If you want guns banned why don't you move to Cuba or venezuela or England or Australia. Get out of here. I'd rather be in a country where a law abiding citizen can own a rifle. But lets blame it on guns. Ban guns. The most frightening thing on here is the bleeding heart liberal. People are bad and aren't going to get better. I will protect my family at all costs. If you don't like it oh well. But blame guns. Lets, not blame it on how God is kicked out of everything. Stuff like this is, going to happen especially when you elected an anti Christ president. God gave America what it wanted being that it rejected Christ.

If you are going to argue for gun control, or that our gun laws are archaic, at least make an intelligent argument.

The Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(q)) is a federal United States law that prohibits any unauthorized individual from knowingly possessing a firearm at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is a "SCHOOL ZONE" as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(25). Its formal title is the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 and is sometimes referred to as the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1995, possibly in reference to S. 890.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun-Free_School_Zones_Act_of_1990

The killings took place at University of California Santa Barbara, a school. Thank you very much.

Also, in case you hadn't figured it out a LAW abiding citizen then would NOT have a gun there, thus again the problem is NOT the gun but the person who has it.

Amazing the shooter picked a gun free zone, because WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, and he didn't want someone with a gun to stop him. Liberals have made restrictions on the mentally handicap like it is discrimination thus they are out to do wacky evil things like this.

Please, don't make misinformed comments.

son of assistant director of hunger games, a twisted plot of youth being selected to fight to the death and then be rewarded for their win? the movie itself sounded disturbing, no surprise here.

he looked the suspect straight in the eyes during the shooting. "He almost kind of had a smirk like he was excited about it or he was happy about it. It's pretty scary. It's pretty disturbing.

Reading through the rest of the story, it seems thay he was angry about being a virgin and rejected by gjrls. Mormon, or whatever, I would say he was the victim of a possession at the time. Really terrible to see people go out like this because we know they are eternally damned which I wouldn't wish on anyone. I can't imagine what he's feeling and experiencing at this very moment as he begins his damnation seperated forever from God. I can't imagine the misery and it's difficult to even think about.

That shooter in California must have been a Mormon to believe that mankind can become gods as that is what Mormonism teaches.
