Black Pastors Speak Out Against 'Gay' Marriage

A coalition of black pastors have condemned gay marriage, saying it's incorrect to compare the fight for equal marriage rights to the civil rights movement.

The Christian, conservative Thomas More Law Center filed an amicus brief in Michigan's gay marriage trial Wednesday on behalf of 110 black pastors from Detroit, elsewhere in Michigan, and Ohio. The state's ban on gay marriage was overturned in March by U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman, but the ruling was put on hold as the case is considered by the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In the brief, the coalition calls for a reversal of Friedman's decision. They argue that the marriage equality movement is inaccurately equated with the civil rights struggle, and that such comparison ignores the acute suffering of blacks throughout American history. ...

Getting back on topic
There is a young high school student
in the church we attend
who is giving a report (paper) opposing same sex marriage
in his local public school
He will be the only one taking the opposing side

Please Pray for him however the Spirit leads you to

I trust he will appreciate all the prayers he can get in this matter
Thank You

This "Hyjacking" Of The Historic "BEAR-BIBLE" (TEXTUS-RECEPTUS-BASED 'BEAR-BIBLE') OF THE HISTORIC SPANISH-REFORMATION--Yes, There Was A SPANISH-REFORMATION--Has Been Evident Not Only In The Early 1900s "Revision" Of LA VERSION REINA-VALERA (1602); But, This SATANIC~VATICAN "JESUIT" STINK Can Also Be Smelt In The 1960 "Revision" Of The 'Revision' Of LA REINA-VALERA ANTIGUA Of 1569-1602 !

I Commend The TRINITARIAN BIBLE SOCIETY For It's Work In Reaching The Spanish Speaking Peoples Of Latin America With THE PRESERVED WORD OF GOD In Spanish.

I Also Commend THE NEW "GOMEZ" Translation.

I Didn't Know My Comments Would Start An Avalanche--Or Bring The Satanic~Vaticanist & Roman-"Catholic" Cultic Advocate's Bloody Fangs Out In The Open !

Neil & "history relates" Is "Spot On" As The Europeans Say--We Americans, Of Course, Say "Right On".

Nevertheless, Had The Author Of This Huffington Post Article Used The True Description Of The Thomas More Law Center As "The Roman-'Catholic' Cultic" &-Or "The Satanic~Vaticanist" Instead Of The Misnomer "The Christian": Maybe The Readers Of This Article Wouldn't Be Hoodwinked, Deceived &-Or Misinformed As To WHO IS REALLY BENEFITTING &-OR BEHIND The Filing Of This "amicus brief" !

I Remember The Anti-Abortion Movement Of The Early '70s Was Headed By Politically Minded Independent Protestant Christian Fundamentalists (Dissenting Protestants Of The '60s-'70s)--Until The Crucifix-Carrying-Mary-Worshipping-Maryolatry/Idolatry Satanic~Vaticanists & Roman-"Catholic"-Cultists Crept In Unawares--Along With The Orthodox-"Jews", The Mormons & Etc. & HYJACKED THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT !

*In The Meantime, While The Thomas More Satanic~Vaticanists Are Representing THE BLACK PASTORS; MULTITUDE MORE LITTLE CHILDREN ARE BEING MOLESTED & RAPED BY SATANIC~VATICAN-ROMAN-"CATHOLIC"-CULTIC "GAY"-PEDOPHILE PRIESTS, BISHOPS, CARDINALS & POPES !*

Of course not (I called it judicial murder, below), but that doesn't make him a martyr, either. Try the shoe on another foot: Many Protestants died or were persecuted opposing the Tudor/Stuart state church during the 17th Century, but would you call them martyrs for this reason?

This was why America was founded largely by Dissenting Protestants, the sort of people Thomas More persecuted. American Catholics have benefited from a principle alien to their church: Freedom of Conscience.

Lets pretend
You are the one who is pretending. Try reading some of the true facts of Thomas More, he was not quite so nice as you seem to imagine.

"In the course of writing the Responsio , More developed a deep and complex commitment to Catholic repression in the interests of the peace and unity of Christendom. His attitude became biased, emotional, intransigent and at times abusive or, as Erasmus disapprovingly remarked, 'imperious'. More saw heresy as a raging disease which infected all doctrines held by the heretic and corrupted all his morals. Luther was a heretic and a pervert, according to the Responsio , a man totally evil, 'who does not allow the priests who take wives to be joined to any other than public strumpets'. More believed this prophecy fulfilled when Luther married a nun in June, 1525. Similarly, Luther's followers were criminals who 'bespatter the most holy image of Christ crucified with the most foul excrement of their bodies destined to be burned'." (by J A Guy. "History today" 1980)

"Thomas More is often thought of as a gentle family man who died for his principles, not as a disciplinarian and burner of heretics"

Sir Thomas hated Martin Luther’s Protestant Reformation and he burned Lutherans at the stake. One of More’s motives for hating the Protestant was that they read the New Testament in English rather than Latin, which of course really upset the Roman Catholics. (Probably still does)
The historian and religious scholar James Wood wrote that More, was not so much a man of conscience but...
…a heretic hunter of the early 16th century who broke into Lutherans’ homes and sent men to the stake. He would punish religious dissent not only with nasty words but also with state violence.
Peter Ackroyd, writing of the life of More (one of the more positive More biographies), tells when Sir Thomas learned that a London seller of leather John Tewkesbury, secretly possessed books which had been banned at that time, he had the man burned alive.
Lets pretend that every negative view of More is true. Lets pretend that all those false witnesses now burning in hell were actually telling the truth. Does that justify his execution for not accepting Henry as Supreme Head of the Church?

Wrong: he was executed because he affirmed Papal Supremacy & opposed Henry's divorce. Since he did not dissent from Henry's basic (Catholic) theology, he was not a martyr in any Biblical sense, just because he was judicially murdered over a secondary dispute.
The pope even gave Henry VIII (who was theologically trained) the title "Defender of the Faith" for his opposition to Martin Luther, whom More opposed as well.
Oy Vey child of darkness
This is one of the most famous trials of all time. The guy was an intelligent lawyer, he kept his views to himself. The treason charges were all associated with not accepting Parliments authority to declare the King of England as Supreme Head of the Church. He was martyered for not accepting Henry as 'Pope'

Any group naming itself after a Catholic "saint" (& early persecutor of Protestantism) gets me curious about its background. Unsurprisingly, its site makes clear that it was founded & is run by prominent lay Catholics, and therefore will tend to adhere to & promote Catholic doctrine (e.g. Natural Law). Just because we may agree here & there on certain political questions, doesn't mean we should join hands with enemies of the Gospel whose worldview is not Biblically grounded.
So, be careful. American "conservatism," in my estimation, is dominated by Roman Catholics, for various reasons. The Progressive Left is influenced by Catholic Social Teaching, which because its anticapitalist economic theory is a good fit with Marxism, is not inconsistent.
Im sure the wicked despise, fret, eschew and spurn the fact that the Thomas More Law Center, the lead defender of Christian Rights in America, is named after a man who was martyred because of his Christian Faith. A Christian murdered because he wouldnt bow the knee to the King of England as the Supreme Head of the Church, murdered because he wouldnt accept Anne Boleyn as Queen.

Im sure reprobates cant stand knowing that this Law Center is THE refuge for Christians needing legal help

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,

I assume these pastors, probably the great majority of them are Christian so why shouldn't they point out that The Bible Says Homosexuality is Sin.
