Move over, Christian televangelists. Atheism is coming to television.
Speaking at a gathering of local atheists, humanists, freethinkers and other non-theists in a chemistry lecture hall at Stanford University, David Silverman, president of American Atheists, a national advocacy group for nontheists, announced Tuesday that his New Jersey-based organization would launch the first television channel dedicated to atheism in July.
"Why are we going to television?" he asked the audience, a mix of about 100 students and people from the local community. "It's part of our strategy of going where we are not."...
Do yourself a favor and do away with the idiot box and don't watch any of this junk . Entertainment is the devils substitute for joy . I did away with the cable 5 yrs ago one of the best things I've done for my family .
We have barely any Christian shows on Australian TV and those we do are relegated to Sunday community station . Apart from that I think television is already atheistic and antichristian in nature. Perhaps in the US where you have many channels it is not the case. Here we have five major commercial stations one community station and the other few are ofshoots of the four main ones offering repeats of the other muck. Personally I choose not to watch any of it, it is pumping out lies, blasphemy and all kinds.of stuff the Bible says we shouldnt have in our homes. They only have power we give them.
The mere fact that the athiests push so hard agaist God, even devoting their lives to combating Christianity is just conformation that rather than not believing in anything as they claim, they have waged war against a God they simply hate. Why in the world claim not to believe in anything, yet fight so hard against those who do unless there's a secret agenda they are afraid to admit and confront?
