Common Core Asks Students to Question the Holocaust

The Rialto school district in California is under fire over a stunning eighth-grade assignment that asked students to write an argumentative essay about the Holocaust and “whether or not you believe this was an actual event in history, or merely a political scheme created to influence public emotion and gain wealth.”

The thoroughly debunked idea that the Holocaust was nothing more than a “hoax” created by the Jews has long been alleged by anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists.

The San Bernardino Sun first reported on the 18-page assignment that gives students three sources to use to write their essays. One of the sources reportedly alleges the gassings in concentration camps were a “hoax” and there is no evidence Jews actually died in gas chambers. ...

A little more detail on this situation. I really can't see where you can blame common core for what a Muslim school superintendent did. This could have happened without any common core around. Anyway, Muslim School Superintendent Defends Assignment Which Denies the Holocaust. This article is good on several points, except for the tenuous linkage to common core.

Louise, because it usually the vicious anti-Semite, who makes up those questions, Identity: A 'Christian' Religion for White Racists.

We had an infamous homegrown NAZI, who made the mistake of spouting such nonsense in Germany. He got thrown in jail for a year or two. My, he didn't want to stay in Nebraska after his stint in jail, I don't know what the connection was, but thankfully he thought there was one, and has left the state.

The truth is never threatened by questions. Why is questioning the holocaust a crime punishable by imprisonment in some European countries? Why was the first law that the khazar Zionist Bolsheviks passed after they came to power "Antisemitism is a capital crime." People need to research this for themselves. I question every official story.

David Brooks always represents the conservative half the Brooks & Shields on the Friday night PBS show "The News Hour," Unfortunately if a Republican or one sympathetic to GOP in the past, doesn't foam at the mouth, he's no longer acceptable.

I understand why you like David Brooks, and it isn't because he's any kind of conservative. In fact some, with good reason, call him Pseudo-Conservative

Glenn Beck may be a Mormon but he loves our country. His Mormonism will be handled by God. My question is does Jim Lincoln understand with true understanding what these socialists are doing to the United States of America?

Mike I usually glance over the articles I put up, I can't say I mull over them, however, but yes, the site said it supports CC and so do I up to a point, or actually pretty much. But then anything the John Birch Society goes into hysteria about, I'm going at least look it over with a sympathetic eye.

David Brooks always represents the conservative half the Brooks & Shields on the Friday night PBS show "The News Hour," Unfortunately if a Republican or one sympathetic to GOP in the past, doesn't foam at the mouth, he's no longer acceptable. But, then neither are many the more old-fashioned Republicans, e.g., Sam’s Club Republicans Vs. the Tea Party. But David Brooks commentary, which is probably more easily accessible from "Archive" article then even my original one, is really a sound commentary looking at Common Core and perhaps some of the other feilings of the Greedy Old Party, as Charlie Crist former Florida Gov., and former Republican put it, G. Bush Sr., and probably even Ronnie Reagan could get nominated in the present day GOP.

So, if it attacks on Common Core, and reasoned ones at that, I wouldn't mind looking at that, but attacks on positions? not so much.

"Achieve" is a mouthpiece group responsible for the "standards" for Common Cor-ruption, Jim. But you already know that. The fact that they post RINO David Brooks adds nothing to your argument.

If you want to know who ACHIEVE is:

its a demoralizing process. everything that might be cultural identity will be erased.

but Christian pastors have taught their people to not get involved in their world, to just go home and wait for the rapture... one thing I've never seen is liberals and conservatives looking at something and agreeing that it is deplorable. but here we have a nation that doesn't want it, and states getting paid to take it before they even see what's there. the gentleman mentioned that after testing is usually when the cluebird flies over the people and they start to see what's going on.

so thank you Bill Gates and a lobby of a few guys for your money and rewriting American society.

and with the progression of technology written within, children's behavior and thoughts have to be recorded by the teacher daily into the database, which will be there forever.... once they are old enough (for what trade is not off limits considering their book choices?) -- corporate interests will be able to access their database and recruit.

the corporate-collective nation is rising..... or falling, depending on how you want to say it.

some more comments byeee over the top right wingers such as the Mormon Glenn Beck I see. David Brook has an excellent commentary about these clowns commenting about common core, q.v., http://mobile.nytimes.com/2014/04/18/opinion/brooks-when-the-circus-descends.html?_r=0&referrer=. it was a Muslim by the way who suggested this topic in a California school!
