With hundreds of flood legends spanning the world from virtually every culture – about one family surviving a global flood in a boat – it isn't surprising that Paramount's $125M-budget Noah, starring Russell Crowe, made $300M in world box office receipts --- and Living Waters' Ray Comfort has drawn 1.1 million from 190 nations into this intrigue with a lifeboat of his own.
Through his 28-minute "docu-movie" Noah and the Last Days, Comfort presents God's Truth about justice and judgment to skeptical and curious Americans and lets them decide what they want to do with it. He has been quite happy with the interest and following it has generated.
"When I saw that Hollywood had originally listed their version as 'fantasy,' I felt compelled to produce something that would show that the story of Noah is an historical fact, despite what the mockers believe, so we placed Noah and the Last Days for free...
Comfort, btw, said that because of the 'Noah' movie,1.1 million people came to go through his ark. To me that says people were interested in learning more. And we said it would cause some unsaved person to seek an find the truth. The people that limit almighty God and say no he can't do it this way, it has to done this way and quote one little scripture even when the evidence is there and we may never know the results of all the souls saved. God to me is using all means to reach the unsaved. Too bad some just refuse to see it. ,
I read the article and I know what it said and it was mentioned by Ray Comfort that it caused him to make a lot of money with his also. I hate the newer movies and I personally never go to movies.God can bring good out of it even if it was meant for whatever, according to his own purposes. That's all I meant GS never dreaming I would actually hear of that good and so God let me see that what I said must have been what He wanted me to say since it did come to pass and so fast..thanks sermonaudio for bringing us the good results of that movie..don't know what the bad results are going to be.
God can use the movie if he pleases, but Christians still need to stand against such blasphemy and quit supporting it. Also this article is not aout the Russel Crowe movie, but Ray Comforts docu-movie about the flood.
Lol, I remember agreeing with you. I believe I posted that verse; lost people aren't concerned with doctrine; they just need something for the Holy Spirit to use to draw them. Doctrine will straighten out after they get saved.
This is exactly what I tried to say when others were so admantly against the Noah movie. I said that God could use that movie to reach some that were searching but never went to church or whatever. That it would cause them to think about the Judgements of God, maybe even cause fear in their hearts and bring about more searching which has already happened it seems. Only one other person agreed with me.Phil.1:15-18 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy strift, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
