Farm Bill: Kosher, and Halal Offerings at Food Banks
For the first time, the federal government is required to purchase and provide food banks with emergency supplies of kosher or halal products, serving a population whose survival could otherwise be at odds with strictures of faith.

The void was revealed in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, which wreaked havoc on the East Coast in fall 2012 and led to food shortages for those most in need.

Something with the topic at hand, Meat should be labeled by method of slaughter, UK religious leaders say. Actually this has more to do with the Subway food chain in Great Britain.

Ah, John Y.

Acts 2
5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God; 6 who “will pay back to everyone according to their works:” a 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life; 8 but to those who are self-seeking, and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath and indignation, 9 oppression and anguish, on every soul of man who works evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

IMHO, the problem with GM food is that the one group that would benefit financially from people finding food from an alternate source is inaccurately reporting about it, follow the money. GM is simply scientific advancement.

We believe that the Lord Jesus is King of Kings, we serve Him gladly laboring for Him. We recognize that one day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God, but for now that is an honor of those to whom He has manifested Himself. (John 17:6) We don't believe in Kingdom Now and we take Him literally when He said His kingdom is NOT of this world. Belief in a rapture does not make people indolent and careless in the way they live their Christian life. (Titus 2:12-15; I John 2:28-3:3)

We believe our Lord when He says in the world you shall tribulation means what it says. That all that live godly shall suffer. However, we see that the Great tribulation is clearly God pouring out His wrath on those who have chosen paths of unrighteousness. Because the Bible says God has NOT appointed us to wrath, we believe He will call us to Himself before the Great tribulation. (Revelation 4:1)

So, some of the generalizations that are applied to us are overstated by those who are zealous for the truth.

yes, Alex, we are in agreement. Evangelicals are too spiritual to be responsible for how they live in the physical world.

there is a younger generation, however, who sees that taking part in the eugenics age is part of Babylon. but we sure can continue making our sacrifices to molech, molech can't touch us because we are super spiritual.

God looks after His own and His sheep suffer in all kinds of ways in this world. The elect suffer because they do not belong here and being "born again" is not a panacea for all the world diseases and problems. God receives His glory from His sheep suffering but being brought through the suffering to knowingly praise the Lord. An example of this is Paul's thorn.
2Corinthians 12:
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Or it's because they think the Kingdom is already here and therefore they need not concern themselves with such earthly matters.

I have to disagree about the identity of the great whore described in Revelation. To me, the identifying characteristics are much too detailed to be anything other than a singularity, as opposed to a mish mosh of the unsaved from a variety of denominations, etc. Interestingly, there are Catholic historians who identify the church of Rome as the great whore. I can't name any right now but can look them up.

No the Catholic Church is not the only church that makes up the Great Whore as all churches who have some false doctrines make up the Great Whore.

What a damnable deception! Either one is truly born again of the Holy Spirit or not. Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life and few are they who find it.
Can you just picture it now...the day of judgment, and some religious genuises pleading, begging along the lines of 'we were partially Christian' and maybe even saying something like, 'We worshipped You Jesus....well not that much BUT we worshipped You, we really really worshipped You, Just not that much.....Begging! We even believed in the Trinity!!!
No! Partially Christian is a damnable myth, a fantasy of religious make believe, a description of spiritual whoredom of those who in reality thoroughly practise unrepentant iniquity
I didn't state anything about individuals being partially Christian. Nobody can be partially Christian. I meant that the Catholic Church as an institution is partially Christian since there are scriptural doctrines in the Catholic Church. Just because I attend the Catholic Church doesn't mean I am not really a Christian. If I embraced Jesus as Savior and I trust in Him alone for salvation then according to the Bible I am a Christian and saved.

The only problem is that Kosher food is not easy to come by there was a Kosher meat packing plant in Nebraska, but it closed, and there are only a few around such as in Iowa. I believe Muhammadans can eat Kosher food but Jews can only eat food has been under the control of a Rabbi? What is Kosher Food?
Yes I most certainly do worship Jesus as God. I have always worshipped Jesus as God. Since there are scriptural doctrines in the Catholic Church then the Catholic Church is partially Christian. My Born Again Non Denominational brother and my Baptist friend both believe I am a Christian because I embraced Jesus as Savior and I trust in Him alone for salvation. You really do need psychological help for stating that I am not a Christian when I did what the Bible states to become a Christian by embracing Jesus as Savior and trusting in Him alone for salvation.

This is ridiculous. The federal government pandering to Jews and Muslims dietery preferences? The Jews and the Muslims are the ones who are off of their rockers because the don't worship Jesus as God. It is total insanity not to worship Jesus as God.
