Bill Nye Says He Wanted to Expose Why Ken Ham and Creationists Are 'Bad for Humankind' During Debate

Bill Nye "The Science Guy" opened up about his February debate with Creation Museum CEO and President Ken Ham, noting that he agreed to do it because he felt it was an opportunity to express why he finds the views of Ham and his supporters to be "bad for humankind."

"I held strongly to the view that it was an opportunity to expose the well-intending Ken Ham and the support he receives from his followers as being bad for Kentucky, bad for science education, bad for the U.S., and thereby bad for humankind-I do not feel I'm exaggerating when I express it this strongly," Nye, who is also the CEO of science-advocacy group The Planetary Society, wrote in the May/June 2014 volume for The Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.

The debate in question was held at the Creation Museum in Kentucky on Feb. 4, and was watched online by an estimated 3 million people. Nye argued in favor of evolution, while Ham ...

God created plants, animals, and humans to be male and female ~ this means that a pair of every species was/is perfectly compatible to reproduce ~ with consummately designed sperm and egg from separate creatures joining together to form a replicate of the said creature/s ~ evolution has no suitable explanation for this simultaneous compatibility for reproduction in animals and plants.

I am very disappointed that Bill Nye does not respect Creation Science as science ~ now all the people that he entertained when they were children, he has no respect for them as being "good" for humanity if they believe in creation ~ I am very disappointed in him...

I feel compelled to compliment, NOT and in NO WAY agree with you on your post

BECAUSE

It reminds me of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed the movie by Ben Stein, who is Jewish not even Christian on the subject of creation (really tying enormously on the subject of freedom)

So thank you for reminding me of such things as prejudice and the amazing genuis of intellectual (scientific?) fascism

Sometimes disquising a hateful animosity of what the Bible actually says

No, not "enough said" David. You'll need to do better than that.

What's bad for humankind are Satan's minions spreading the evolutionary, panspermia, or false religion/cultic lies which send mankind to eternal destruction to burn and be tormented forever and ever (and ever). The children have been taught that we were apes that evolved from some chemical soup and humankind will believe in any invention or fable man can dream up but assault the one thing that makes sense. Willfilly (and woefully) ignorant. Really tragic knowing that they will all pass over realizing instantly that something is not right and they won't be able.to turn and run. Scary. I always pray that the world would wake up from its slumber, but it's more of a wish than anything I hope to happen.

As all of our elections for the past several decades prove, people are not interested in hearing truth, they are interested in hearing what they want to hear. The current worldview has people convinced they need to fit in with the current culture, and since that does not include a Holy God, they are willing to reject Him, as well as any proof He exists.

GS,

Good point. The Committee for "Skeptical Inquiry" is a good name for them.

Since he does not believe in any absolute standard of morality (God), how can he say with certainty someone or something is bad for humanity?

Looks like Bill Nye is bad for logic.
