5 Reasons Married Men Should Not Seek Marriage Advice From Other Women

Let’s get right to the facts. A little under three years into my marriage, it was anything but roses.

The days of remembering our vows were long gone and communication had all but dried up. The only thing I needed to do was the last thing I wanted to do. What was it? Man up and talk to my wife.

Days, weeks and even months were passing along and I still couldn’t bring myself to talk to my wife. Yes, of course, we could talk in general and even put on the necessary “everything is perfect” acts around friends and family members. But when it came to the life breathing, marriage saving words, well, they just couldn’t come out of me. If you could admit it, many of you would agree with me.

So I did what I think many other men are doing in their marriages today. I went looking for help in all the wrong places. Here are a couple of the wrong places I decided to seek help: ...

LV seems to be a kind woman who loves the Lord, is respectful, never comes at anyone, and always has something informative, uplifting, or offers biblical insight to the topics at hand.
I don't know, maybe I'm not seeing something about the name itself that others seem to take issue with at times.
One difference- Lady Virtue isn't an angry woman.

Get real...are you the same person who posted as...some woman from Wisconsin ?
Your posts are very similar in character and context. Especially towards Lady Virtue.

It seems the "REAL Problem" here is not with Lady Virtue but with the earthly "Get REAL", Really.

IMHO she has choosen an honorable moniker, one worth the living up to and one that IMHO reminds all of us that we ought to live out our faith in Jesus Christ honestly humbly in holiness and purity before Him and as an example to other as well.

May His blessing be on Lady Virtue and every other sister who has her heart set on honoring Christ in their lives.

If you are seeking marriage by yourself chances are very high the situation is not being accurately represented and you should immediately question your intentions toward your spouse.

The bible is to be consulted first together. You are to read and know your part. If anything else is needed both are to seek help together with someone wise so that it is accurately presented. By two or more whitnesses. You cannot accurately repesent a dispute by yourself.

Have never seen a single article in a "Christian" publication that questions women's behavior in marriage and most likely never will.

I just shared that with my wife. She took it as satirical. As though the person meant you should misbehave to make history.

I guess you can take it a couple different ways.

if we click on the 'report abuse' off the the left of the offensive comments, and fill out the brief form - the comments will be removed. It's well worth the few seconds it takes to complete the form.

Lady _Virtue...I for one, am encouraged when I read your posts. You are wise to ignore those who sit at a keyboard and viciously attack others. Thankfully there are only a handful on this forum that do this.
You have a blessed day, sister.
