Starbucks Apologizes for Satanic Symbols in Christian Woman's Coffee

Starbucks has formally apologized to a Louisiana schoolteacher upset over finding satanic symbols in her coffee foam on a Sunday. The woman, who identifies as Catholic, took to Facebook to share her story, which led to an apology from the company.

"I unfortunately can't give the young man's name who served it, because I was so appalled that I could not bring myself to look at him," Megan Pinion wrote in her Facebook post. "I am in no way judging his beliefs of dis-meriting his beautiful artwork. I am however judging his lack of professionalism and respect for others. I am a teacher in the public school system and if I were to present a child of atheist or pagan believers with a Christian art project I could be sued in a heartbeat." ...

The answer is in the gospel stories I think.
Types ... over and over again ...

The Jews then began to argue amongst themselves, (the Chief priest, the scribes, the Pharasee's, the Sadducee's, the lawyers .. )

Meanwhile .. Rome grew in strength. The Jews having become such a problem because of their hatred toward their own brethren eventually tired the Romans The Jews used Rome to get their own way. They thought they could manipulate Rome forever into legitimising their cruel religious authority over a portion of the province.

Something like that I think. And they did it for 'God'.

Well I suppose it figures if you can't tell who the elect are, you must be suspicious of everybody.

No problem I was using your quote to reference "Really" whoever he is really, I appreciate your attempt to defend and correct his twisting of what we say.
Eh?

Ah, this explains it.

You seem to know all about this, and have applied it on many occasions.

Maybe my good pal "Really" ought to bring up the link again, along with your response, and we can go right back to the beginning and give you the opportunity to repent, eh?

Man, I've been right civil with you, and you merely treat me with contempt. It seems to be a Presby trait, and a great shame that an overseer like yourself does not know how to behave himself. You preach God's grace, but seem unable to be gracious to others. If other Presbies follow you, the only place you're all going is in the ditch. And even when you get there, you'll still act the same. Maybe you're the infiltrator, hoping to bring down Calvinism.

I came across this verse - as a cross reference to another book my husband and I are studying this week.

Lev 19:15 You shall do no injustice in judgement. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbour.

You shall not go about as tale bearing among your people, nor shall you take a stand against the life of your neighbour.
You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbour and not bear sin because of him.

My husband explained to me that "You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbour and not bear sin because of him" means that your neighbour can encourage you to sin - by encouraging hatred in your heart - if he (the neighbour) is not rebuked.

RK,
"Calvin, Sibbes, Knox, Rutherford, Manton etc"

Do you know why I mentioned these particular characters?
___________

The doctrines of grace are quite simple, really. Are we saved "by grace"?

"For by grace are ye saved...."

Where's the problem?

Thank you to all who posted in response to my question.
To be honest I have seen bitter wrangling in the Baptist camp as well as the Prostestant.
We are Christians saved by Gods Grace and washed in the precious blood of the Lamb.....and do not want to be found guilty of the sin of sowing discord among the brethren.
A blessed Lords Day to everyone.

Lisa,
See what I mean. They are masters at twisting the truth yo their own destruction. Go back and read what I wrote. It is not the same as what they are saying here. You should "really" be careful.
I am sure that Really and John UK can speak for themselves, but John UK is guilty of this heinous crime that deserves destruction, along with the other twisters of truth?!

Liza J, you make up your own mind. But, I have looked back and Really and John UK were on the mark as far as I am concerned.

Borill does not twist anything, as we witnessed in the exchange over covenants and infant baptism, and in his verse launching etc. Ha! What a fine fellow he is. John UK, even refers to him as a brother and wished him blessings. What does he get in return? Yep, name calling and anathemas!

With SteveR (what a guy!) and Borill we have two very worthy representatives of the Presbyterian denomination

I'm not a coffee drinker: My husband and son drink coffee and it is an answer to my prayers that they drink organic fair trade coffee ~ I hate to think of workers being exploited ~ also, I would like to buy fair trade cocoa, because it really upsets me that worker exploitation is also common with the harvest of cocoa beans.

"Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth."

One more thing, Tara...using this latest example, while commenting one the news item, I was very careful not to single the lady out as being Roman Catholic or attack her in any way. Regardless of this, or maybe he read too fast and misinterpreted, he immediately attacked and tried his best to cut me down, but it didn't work out too well. Read back through some of the exchanges to get a better feel for things and a reason for what at first glance may seem like shocking, unloving comments, etc.
Steve told me one time that he would try to stop reading into things and give the benefit of the doubt, even ask follow up questions to get a proper perspective but he either forgot or has trouble controlling his anger and just can't. Read through his history before shedding any tears for him.

Hi Tara, I noticed your comment about people often discussing doctrine Instead of news items. The comments lean heavily on the news, but doctrine needs to be discussed as well, especially when false doctrine abounds at times. Some things, to me, will not send anyone to hell, and people can agree to disagree, but others, being fatal (to me), must be discussed because as you yourself said, Satan is alive and well. Speaking for myself, I know some of my comments can be a bit shocking, but it's out of pure frustration which you will understand better after being around longer. Some of my comments, which I know don't seem too loving, are the end result of doing my best to reach out to and be nice to the person in question for years, only to be continually mocked, scorned, and treated badly, no matter how hard I tried with him. The things I say are accurate, but I agree that I do cut too deep at times.

Read the names and the quotes. If Mr Borill thinks that the persons quoted are Jesuit heretics, he has bigger problems than he thinks.

What he may be hinting at is that he and his Presbyterian Church have abandoned the historic Presbyterian understanding of the dogma, but he nevertheless continues to believe all the doctrines that naturally flow from Presumptive Regeneration, and which are used to justify infant baptism.

As Charles Hodge (a Jesuit heretic according to Mr Borill) stated:

In the neglect of understanding the doctrine of ‚Äúpresumptive regeneration, we have long felt and often expressed the conviction that this is one of the most serious evils in the present state of our churches.‚ÄĚ (Bushnell¬īs discourses on Christian Nurture, Biblical Repertory and Princeton Review (1847), 19, Pages 52-521.)

Mr Hodge would not approve of Mr Borill's Presbyterianism!

Liza J,

Again regardless of what sources "Really" recommends, there are Jesuit heretics that have infiltrated the ranks of every Protestant denomination. In addition, these heretics are prolific publishers, but their works can not be considered as representative of actual reformed doctrine. I assure you the reformers do not hold to a Presumptive Regeneration. We leave such heresies to the "real" Jesuits.

Mr Borill (a minister in a reformed church) is rather free with accusations.

You might like to study the following page:

Presumptive regeneration in the Reformed Tradition

Really interesting reading.

Once you have read this, you should know who is lying and ignorant.

Mr. Yurich, I will thank you in advance for no longer insulting my thinking and, even more so, for not attacking Jesus's own teaching regarding being born again from John 3 as "stupid." You really ought to be ashamed of yourself.
Your instant comeback for anything you don't agree with is "stupid," "insane," and so forth. Please refrain from attacking me with those words in the future. I would request that you buttress your arguments with Scripture, but you can't, because what you're saying is unbiblical to begin with.
Where did I attack Jesus teaching in John? I gave the biblical teaching on what becoming Born Again means. It means to embrace Jesus as ones Personal Savior and trust in Him alone for salvation. When one does that they become a Born Again Christian.
